Evgenia Medvedeva

Damn! But if her recovery requires it, there is nothing what could be said. :(
But I wish her full recovery and great next season

:( I'm glad she is not risking further injuries but I'm sad that I won't get to see her live since I have tickets for the FS :( neither her nor Yuzu will be there :(

Heal fast Zhenya and take care of your health! <3

Also, how incredible that Zhenya skated the way she did in PC with an injured foot! I have so much respect for her. I can't wait for her to be healthy again next season :ghug:

Hopefully she'll be able to have a swift and complete recovery and be in form for the next season. It's very unfortunate we won't be able to see her at worlds. No threepeat once again.

after what happened to Adelina after the Sochi grind in 2014 she had injury after injury after injury I do not want to see the same for at Evgenia. It is vital that she rest for many months and then come back and competes in only a few competitions the next couple years to try to save herself for a run at Beijing in 2022. Even if somehow Zhenya does not take one of the top 2 singles spots for Russia I have to think there's a good chance she could be in the team event doing the short program for Russia.

And I'm very sorry that her golden Olympic dream was hampered by that foot injury. She may wonder for the rest of her life what if she was 100% healthy for the Olympics would she have won gold?

Now Alina has to step up to be the team leader that have Evgenia has been but she's only 15 can she do that? The pressure on her to win world's gold and complete her dream season will be unbelievable and she's going to have to try to lead the second and third Russian women to perform well enough where Russia keeps their three slots which is quite important. Before Alina could kind of hide behind Evgenia and perform freely. Now its all on Alina without Zhenya around.

I hope that Zhenya comes back in the the fall and performs a few events next season if she feels healthy. She still almost won the gold medal with an injured foot she sure is a lot tougher than she looks.

sorry, but Adelina is a totally different case. She chose the shows. And the problem was her motivation... shortage of motivation. And family's money problems.

She should've never gone to Olympics. Three worlds in a row is bigger achievement than olympic silver.

Yeah, but tbh at this point I wouldn't risk it. She has months before next season, I would rather for her not to do anything taxing on her body for a while.

yes. maybe.
But still, she needs to stay in shape. Her body, muscles. Otherwise, she may have a lot of problems after recovery.

what a delirium. :disapp:
Olympic's is a dream for a lot of athletes....
And two silvers are an amazing achievement.

Yes I'm sure she will do the same thing Yuzuru did, a lot of physical training off ice and some simple skating to avoid losing the feel of it!

I was waiting and praying for this news!!
Yeah, I already knew something about her foot was off, I could see that she wasn’t 100% good, even during the Olympics. And, for me, Evgenia health is always my main concern and more important than any medal, and I was hoping and praying for her to withdraw from the WC.

I respect the balls on her tbh, for going out and performing so beautifully even tho she was going through pain! But still, it was a stupid thing to do. I know it was her dream and the Olympics means a lot, but I can’t help but think about her health and what damages this choice could bring to her!

And they should have taken her to the doctors the minute she landed in Russia. But noooo, let’s put her in many many many press and oh right, let’s make her skating again too, even with her foot bothering her😒😑

You don't do interviews all day as you do not stay at the doctor all day. Those two things don't exclude themselves and we know there were some concerns for the long time. So she got medical treatment already, that did not start today.

boy..... :disapp:
All kind of sports is damage to the health!!!
ALL OF THAT for sacrifice for the Olympic dream.
Full childhood !!! from the age of 4 all go through pain, injuries, tears, and failures for THIS dream.

I 100% disagree. It may have been her only shot at the OG and she won 2 silver medals. I think she would have regretted not going very, very much. This is not a terrible injury, she just needs 2 months of full rest from jumping.

We don’t know how injuries works guys!! We don’t know! So we can’t say that it’s not serious because we’re not her! I’m happy for her and the 2 medals, I am! She fought hard! And the things that she accomplished was amazing! Yeah, it could be her only chance, but still, I’m thinking about her health too! Feels like nobody is actually thinking that she could hurt her foot for real. Things could have been different too, and we could have seen a different scenario, thank god we didn’t, the one we saw was good after everything, but it could have been different.
