Evgenia Medvedeva

I think she can skate without jumps there. In this case we’ll see a new program, I hope.

I don't think we'll see a new competitive program until early July, as new rules would be out in June. With a foot like that I doubt we'd see a new EX either, it takes time to choreograph, train, twitching her existing EX to no jump is easier.

Of course I mean new EX, because doctors have forbidden jumps, not gliding.

Only 2 weeks away from the 2 first shows...Some fans assume she'd skip the 2 first shows and go to the last. I'm scared that she'd be too caught up in the moment and jump anyway...

Our media-Star. Her english is better than mine :shame:

Her english is better than Yuzuru

Although I don't like those political question, she is 18yo athelte, ask her about sport, hobbies, relation with other athlets etc, but not politics, I guess they have enough politicans who like talking and just one Zhenya so when she has air time ask about figure skating, same when Yuzuru was asked about North Korea:hslap:. Those people just want to skate.

I doubt we see her in Japan, it would be awkward situation. People in Russia would start talking, that she didn't go to worlds but skate in Japan. I think she cares about that and she really need rest. But I would love to see her ex or fs  to this, I think she is a fan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-MAErg8q0w

Let’s see anyway. I hope she is smart enough not to jump if she wants to be healthy for the next season.

It won’t be an awkward situation if she skate without jumps. Sometimes you have no choice.

Yeah, they ask her pretty boring questions, either about politics or rivalry , or questions that are asked many times already.

I hope she skates to ghibli music too, she seems to love it

She's mart enough to not overdo it, but 1 or 2 impulsive jumps is quite likely...when you see people putting up their shows it's hard not to. Hope she would not do any at all.

Yes, I'm sure. Very familiar situation.

Ame, she is 18 already :-) It’s time, I think, not to do stupid things. She told in the interviews that she understood a lot about herself this season. And I believe in her. Now she needs to heal and I hope she’ll do her best for it.

They are already talking, believe me. There are lots of dirt on her from Zhenya haters considering that she said about doctors two month ban of jumping and couple of minutes later in the same interview she mentioned that she will be going to Japan doing shows soon. Insinuations that she faked her injury since she is afraid losing to Alina again etc.

Yeah, that's why I kind of hope she skip the ice shows entirely, even without jumps. I know their words have no weight but i'm afaird how they affect new fs fans.
But that's just my unreasonable feelings. She should do what she should.

People do stupid things sometimes no matter the age. I hope she does her best to heal.

Regardless of the political question...i like the interview. She is very smart and it is nice to hear her olympic story in english.

She want to go, probably, because the event is in Japan. And she wants to visit Japan again, that’s what I understood when she said that she was going, because she talked about how much she loves the culture and wouldn't take long until she visit Japan again. So, I imagine that she wants to go because of this, and probably because it’s someting fun to do, and she will be able to see her skaters friends again, especially Wakaba. I think they don't see each other since early in 2017?! I don’t remember, but it’s been a while now!

About the Russians part, well, it’s easy to understand that it’s only a fun event and not a competition, and she can performing without the jumps. I think it’s drama free imo

Considering her stuborness I'm afraid that she will jump anyway thinking that couple of jumps is not big deal for her health. While it may be true - it definitely can hurt her image..

To be honest that scenario to skip worlds to be not defeated by Zagitova I heard week or two ago. Fans loves making such theories. Hard to say. yeah a lot of dirt everywhere, dark side of being famous. (Zhenya is everywhere)

Russian loves drama(even drama without drama, nothing is safe)

I enjoyed too. I buy anything she says, she is so true. When will be second interview, there is photo Zhenya and Laishev in Russia Today i guess

“she faked her injury since she is afraid losing to Alina again etc.” I don’t think that’s her personality at all, and if they knew her they would know this! And I heard she was already dealing with pain at the Olys too, 2 journalists posted this on twitter.

And the last thing that Janny wanted or any athlete for the matter of fact, is to withdraw from any competition, especially a WC when would defend her title, especially by faking an injury.

If theres a thing that I learned from these years of being an athlete myself, is when an athlete says that they’re injured, I don’t questioning them!
