Eteri is building an army for the next Olympics... her goal is not the next Worlds, or the Europeans, but the Olympics.
She has Trusova, Kostornaya, Scherbakova jumping already quads and 3A, Tarakanova who doens't have major flaws and 3 new girls as for the next season.

Agreed. And she still has Alina. But Zhenya is a big loss and I bet Zhenya was like all these young ones need her focus time for me to leave. If so thats fine.

Just wait until Monday. People can conjecture all they want but all of that just creates more rumors and then people believe the rumors and then rumors grow from the rumors and so on. Wait until the official announcement on Monday. Wait until you hear from Evgenia. It's only a couple of days. Whatever happens will be for the best and it will add some new excitement for the new season, right? And what about her new programs? Pretty interesting to see what new stories she will tell us through her skating this coming season, right?

So we can all relax on rumors unless Yatagarasu says something of course with his X-Man or Avenger psychic powers.

Seriously Eteri does not favor Med or Alina. She is practical like Russian fed and rightly so, whoever brings medal it does not matter. The matter is the medal.

I know the first reaction when someone changes coaches is Orser in this forum. But I've been thinking.. isn't it more or at least equally likely that she might choose to train with Plushenko? He is a skating legend in Russia and does not yet have a champion skater in his camp, so Evgenia would still be treated as the leader. Plushenko is a lot of things but he was an impressive jumper in his prime and you can't beat the Mishin school of training when it comes to jump technique. She does not need to leave her home country and can still maintain support from her federation, which may be in jeopardy if she trains abroad with a non-Russian coach. Even the Yuzuru connection holds strong. Plushenko is his biggest idol after all.

Orser was mentioned in one of the first Russian press feature yesterday. His name was also given in today's TV news. So it's not just GS idea
But you are right, Plushenko could be another possibility, the more his academy is in Moscow.
