Yes, exactly. She was injured, so she was in the best position to take up all the media stuff... Of course, Evgenia enjoys attention as well, she has admitted it many times. But take a look at the Japan documentary...she looked crushed because she couldn't train. From some photoshoots, Eteri and daughter benefited too.
What about the medal ceremony with Putin? By the time, Alina was already an Olympic gold medalist, but she wasn't the one asking for a new rink.

As they say, the truth is in the middle...
Both Eteri and Evgenia benefited from the 11 years old coach-skater relationship. I don't blame Evgenia for leaving and trying to maximise her chances for the next Olympics, as I understand Eteri that she must be really furious that Evgenia is leaving. It's a shame that a relationship that seemed ideal is ending like that, though.
I agree with you on this. Its a pitty. Yes, they both are making some unpleasant things now. I wished, they could still at least respect each other.
