Yes, exactly. She was injured, so she was in the best position to take up all the media stuff... Of course, Evgenia enjoys attention as well, she has admitted it many times. But take a look at the Japan documentary...she looked crushed because she couldn't train. From some photoshoots, Eteri and daughter benefited too.

What about the medal ceremony with Putin? By the time, Alina was already an Olympic gold medalist, but she wasn't the one asking for a new rink. ;)

As they say, the truth is in the middle...
Both Eteri and Evgenia benefited from the 11 years old coach-skater relationship. I don't blame Evgenia for leaving and trying to maximise her chances for the next Olympics, as I understand Eteri that she must be really furious that Evgenia is leaving. It's a shame that a relationship that seemed ideal is ending like that, though.

I agree with you on this. Its a pitty. Yes, they both are making some unpleasant things now. I wished, they could still at least respect each other.

Seriously. Eteri doesn't know how to play. The stupidity here is utterly magnificent.

If Med has had enough, something big is coming Eteri's way tomorrow. I don't know if she would do it, though. She could be the "classy" one, if she so chooses.

You're probably right, but leaving the country without at least saying why she didn't respond to Eteri's messages (or that it was a lie, or whatever) would be... badly seen by the general audience? :confused:

I agree with you, nothing good comes out of being petty and attacking back. Take the high road, be gracious and the other side will come out looking bad in the end.

Eteri really was willing to share her personal text messages on national tv, Evgenia shouldn't stoop to that level, it's not worth it.

It worked for Donald Trump. "They go low, you go high" isn't always the best option when you're dealing with an opponent who fights dirty.

If we're serious, the thing in this whole mess is that more than likely both sides are 'guilty' in the sense of whatever happened. It is very rarely just the one person but a mix of many things. I don't think anyone's a saint so I wouldn't be surprised if things were emotional, things were said and the ball rolled. Now Eteri upped the stakes.

IMO Zhenya should put the breaks on tomorrow and not fan any flames. Nobody wins if this escalates, including the other kids that really aren't involved in this whole mess.
 
I trust in whatever Zhenya decides to do tomorrow. I seriously doubt she'd personally attack anyone or play Eteri's petty games. However, if she wants to put out a less-than-positive statement and reveal more details into her decision that isn't just rainbows and sunshine, I'd support that.
 
eteri's acting like a psycho. some fans were expected that she will say something unpleasant, but the sunday news on the main russian tv channel?? it's smth. there is should be a line. i won't be surprised if all others rumors abt polina/moris/trusova leaving will turn out to be true. + may be some parents will decide that they don't want to see the same thing happening with their children after few years

It might have been faked very easily. I'm not saying that it was faked, but showing that screen doesn't prove anything at all for certain. It just proves that Eteri said that she didn't get any answers, nothing more.

She was probably advised to not converse with Eteri while she was in talks with other coaches.
 
Can we just stop for a moment to take into consideration how hilarious this even is? Lol at Eteri for first stating that there will be no comments from her and then suddenly blurting out with all these accusations. So, two months ago Evgenia was „her second daughter“, „a part of her soul“ and oh so very mature compared to childish and somewhat „lazy“ Alina (she has said that not me just to clarify right here) and now what? Now Zhenya‘s the childish, ungrateful brat? Wow.

„Oh, you dare leave me Zhenya, darling? Well, let‘s see what we do about that, right? You‘re so going to regret this. Mother knows best after all...“

One user in the other thread has already mentioned it and it stuck in my head. Anyone knows Tangled here? Eteri just reminds me of Rapunzle‘s (step) mom. Likd, really.

And yes, I do get that it‘s always two involved. But for now Med hasn‘t made a statement, contrary to Eteri she waits till tomorrow. And Eteri‘s the adult here. Shouldn‘t be acting like a teenager, imo. Especially not dragging Alina into all this and throwing accusations at Orser. Oh, she‘s proven she brings results with her students. She‘s the best coach in ladies‘ figure skating, yes. But getting medals doesn‘t mean a coach is a good person or even does ethically right things for that matter.

Probably because at the end of the day Evgenia and Eteri's relationship was a "business deal" who started when Evg was eight. But I guess people expected more from her since they had this "mother-daughter" bond (lol).
 
I come back after a short break to see this. :shocked: :hopelessness: What a mess. For the sake of avoiding drama, all I will say is that Evgenia was and still remains one of my favorite skaters and I wish her the best. She's a strong girl--she'll get through this.
