RusFed has the last call but skaters and the hosts can express their preference. I’m pretty sure they’ll give Alina Rostelecom and Zheny NHK, and then probably SA/SC for Zhenya and CoC/IdF for Alina

Wow, I've been absent for about a month because it's off season and so much have happened. I had to go back about 100 pages and reread all the drama. lol. It's pretty shocking that Evgenia would leave her coach of 11 years and also leave Russia but it's not unexpected either. Most skaters switch coaches after they've grown into adulthood, feel stagnant, and want to broaden their horizon. It's unfortunate that the split wasn't more amicable. Maybe if Evgenia told her coach first then things might have been more civil but I can understand not confronting her directly about it. Either way, what's done is done and hopefully both parties can move forward from this. This will lead to some interesting confrontations in the future though when they are forced to compete. I have to admit, I'm pretty excited about the changes in her new programs and choreography. Anyways, I wish her success in her future endeavors.

I want Evgenia to do CoC and SA, and Alina to do Rostelecom and IdF, with Kaetlyn doing SC and NHK. But then Daria's chances for the final are slim and it sacrifices Polina and Maria. But really, I want Evgenia to have her full set.

Rostelecom and NHK are back to back, so there’s no way Alina will do both! It would be self sabotage

I can’t imagine the US Fed invites Evgenia to Skate America unless it’s part of some deal struck with the Russian Fed in exchange for a Rostelecom invitation for some unseeded American. France and China could invite her easily enough as they don’t presently have anybody of their own to promote, and NHK might be possible just because the Japanese reputedly don’t strategize on behalf of their own to the extent that other feds do.

Wouldn’t it be better if she goes to the the last events? Russia and France. Or even CoC and Russia or NHK and Russia. That would give her a little more time to rest. Skate America is the first GP isn’t it?

Doing two events back to back would be punishing on any skater. She’d want some time in between, if at all possible.
China-Russia or China-France strike me as the most workable combinations. Japan-France would also work.

CoC......:think: If Zhenya really choose to go to China, I would go to see her performance, as China is nearby me and travelling cost is lower:luv17: However, as I said there are so many Zhenya's fans in China, ticket would be a problem:sad21:
