Evgenia Medvedeva

Kristian Kostov who last year represented Bulgaria on Eurovision and was 2nd in Grand Final shared Evgenia’s picture with snacks  Who knows maybe she’ll do EX to one of his songs ;)

I've noticed she's liked some of his tweets in the past few days, so she must be a fan of his! That's nice :)

She seems so relaxed and positive. It's so refreshing to see it! BTW, do you guys think the interview needs subtitles? I personally don't think so...
Also, as a Beatles fan, I loved the reference to 'She's leaving home'!

oh man, I'm so here for this. This video can't come out fast enough...

No, her English is 100% better than it was even at the Olympics; there was no need for subtitles (at least for me, a native English speaker). Hanging out with the Canadians for a few weeks in Japan and Korea has done wonders. By the time she's winning gold in Beijing, she won't even have an accent. :)

I thought the same, her English is very good. Maybe within a year she'll be speaking like a Canadian! ;)

Haha Yes, I didn't notice your flag when I replied, but she'll have an accent from your perspective, just not from mine. Still, it won't be a Russian one if she keeps improving like this. Not that a Russian accent is bad, but if you can learn to speak like a native, why wouldn't you? :)

EVERYBODY has an accent :) and it's very difficult to lose your native accent when you learn a foreign language as an adult, so my bet is that she'll be picking up some Canadian but still with some Russian "undertones", if that makes sense ;)

Her English is improving steadily!

I think it’s okay to have accents! I lost mine almost completely living in the UK for 3 years and studying languages at Uni, but I find people like it when they spot traces of Italian still lingering there :)

Wow, you must have a talent for picking up languages! :) Every Italian I met so far had a strong Italian accent, even after years of living in the UK! Nothing wrong with that, BTW ;)

I like accents. Zhenya's Russian accent trying to speak Japanese is the cutest thing 😍

Yes her accent is quite adorable :) but as a linguist I’m so curious to see how it will evolve 😁

I think I got lucky because I have a good ear for languages and of course studying them for years in Uni helped! But yes Italians, Spanish and French all have quite strong accents usually!
