Which national holidays you mean? because everything is bank holiday

Which national holidays you mean? because everything is bank holiday. Except if you were in UK in 2012 and celebrated the jubilee.

Not everyone likes this photo in Russia. Tbh i can understand it.
I actually was there for the Jubilee! But I also meant holidays that don't exist in Italy (Bonfire Night, Remembrance Day, ecc) - I think it's a nice way to embrace a different culture!
Glad she is in Toronto opening up her
It's wonderful to embrace new cultures!

I'd like to echo everyone else here and mention that her English has improved tremendously in a very short time. It's already better than when she did the Olympic channel interview, and that itself was a huge improvement over how she sounded at the Olympics. She is picking up the language almost as quickly as a child. Good job, Zhenya!
There is a lot more precision in Fahrenheit. It's too bad that freezing doesn't occur at 0 degrees Fahrenheit, as that would make more sense, but for temperatures, Fahrenheit is what, 1.8 times more precise?![]()
I wish we would use the metric system for everything else, though. Feet and inches and pounds and yards and quarts and gallons and such are cumbersome.
Exactly! There’s so much to gain living abroad or even just embracing other cultures! It doesn’t mean you don’t love your ownI feel 100% Italian even after spending 3 years in the UK and traveling around.
Zhenya will gain new friends, a really good knowledge of English, will learn new things and habits... and all this will be a treasure for her for life
In the US it’s pretty common to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and St. Patrick’s Day. And I’ve been to Bastille Day celebrations in the US. Pretty sure I’d participate in all those celebrations if I was living abroad and it wouldn’t be a big deal or mean anything about my patriotism.Really? I would celebrate 4th of July when we lived in the US and I'm not American. We celebrated various national holidays while we were in other countries as well very secure in the fact that I am a true Canadian. I don't see why people would have a problem beyond those who would have an issue with whatever she did. This is seriously getting old...Glad she is in Toronto opening up her horizons.

I'm not going to go into it because it's against forum guidelines, but I'm sure there are some deep-rooted cultural/political perceptions at play in people's reactions to the photo.
Evgenia's always impressed me as a quite a worldly person, given her interest in K-Pop, Japanese Anime and her desire to learn English. I feel that's kind of in conflict with some folks over there. I think that's why she's always been a draw to me.

Same. I won't go into anything that's not allowed here, but I've wondered if one of the reasons why she's often mercilessly dogged on is because she may be perceived as "counter-culture" by some.

So can I toss something at you guys?
What did you guys think of her Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close program from the 2016-2017 season? I had a really hard time with it because I am American and the step sequence with all the voiceovers brought back bad memories of Sept. 11 (I was in college and had to write about how it affected students on campus). I know it was an Averbach-driven program, but it was hard to watch especially after her exquisite W.E. free skate, which remains one of my favorites from her.
Honestly, the storyline worked and the music was beautiful and I feel like she could have pulled off the story without the voiceovers (though I'm not sure what you would put there instead).
I'm kind of glad to hear her say that in hindsight she didn't really love it. Anyway, I tried to be open-minded and am curious about other fans opinions.
