Hey, this here is not a real contribution to the current discussed topic right now, but I quickly wanted to say hi!
I've been following Evgenia's GS thread for like 2 years now but I never got around to create my own profile, but finally managed to do it.

If the rumors about Evgenia's SP music turn out to be true, I'm going to be SO excited! I've always wanted to see her skating to Jazz, just to see how she would work with the style.
I can't imagine a dress for the program though... maybe something REALLY pale? Like a pale orange into a pale yellow?

Oh, no -- I think it was her 15/16 free program? And from there I was just hooked, her dress was so pretty and kind of different from what other skaters wore, and the way she moved on the ice was so charismatic and expressive. That was around the end of last year, so during the Olympics, the first competition I was watching to see her, when she got silver instead of gold I was so sad (╥_╥) Not only do I love her skating, but she's not far in age from me, and after watching some documentaries and reading articles about her I saw how sweet she is, but she's also mature and very determined. I really respect her a lot and now I've grown attached since I feel we have things in common, like sense of humor and love of anime... Basically, she's my role model. Ah, wouldn't it be great if I had figured out what I want to do with my life, like Zhenya has ( ´ ▽ ` )

I’ve never heard of orange coloured sky until yesterday but now I’ve listened it I think it’s an awesome choice (if the rumours are true). It fits Zhenyas fun personality really well and while the song played out I was already starting to imagine her skating to it. Her acting and expressions could gel really well with this!

Ееh, I was worried that I'll have to watch Alina's future programs muted but now I have the same concerns about Zhenya.... I just don't like jazz and can't see how it would work well with figure skating, for me it feels just kind of outdated and cheesy...:noshake:
..but you might be right, guys..that it's a fun song and it suits her personality. What I hope for is that the choreography is good, this music needs a lot of movements (like her old step sequences for example) and not just skating from side to side. And I am definitely excited for the dress... I have a feeling she's going to show those rose blades :agree:

When I saw that this was the song for her sp, I was really happy. She’s doing something really different, refreshing and I love the fact that she had a say in this choice !
For the dress, I don’t think orange is necessary ? Red could be a good choice too ! I’m curious now !

I like jazz and i feel excited about seeing Zhenya try something new. The thing with her working with TCC team and Wilson now is that she can express her own opinion about the choreo, the music cut, if she doesn't like something they'll work on it. I remember Yuna saying they had to change her James Bond ending pose more than 10 times because she didn't like any of them. So we know the programs zhenya is gonna be skating to next season, will be programs she loves and feels happy performing to. That in my opinion is what matters the most. Remember in one of her latest interviews when she said she didn't like her 9/11 Incredibly Loud program at first but ended up appreciating it because it brought the results she wanted, then her The leftovers program she felt only had a pretty dress. I imagine she had many frustrations about not being able to skate to what she wanted. I'm excited for her new direction

I don't love jazz either, but I feel excited about her doing something different from contemporary style drama. Although I liked pretty much all of her past music choices, I do think they were becoming repetitive. I would have preferred for her to do something latin (rip to my dreams of a tango) but what's important for me is that she does something new and surprising!
