Making an IG private is a good idea for managing followers, filtering out trolls, etc.... I have a private IG but then again, I am nobody haha. Okay, let me give a BETTER example, Julia Lipnitskaya has a private IG and I am sure others do too. It doesn’t mean she is becoming a hermit, in other words. So no worries . Like others have said, she is focused on her career probably and her upcoming skates and doesn’t need silly distractions and private IG is better resolution for a lot of headaches. She should keep it that way probably.

You guys, I checked to see her latest and honestly none of them seemed bad. And she doesn’t have tagging enabled so I’m sure this is more of a personal issue. Or like someone said, maybe she needs a break.

Yes, making some changes with her tech content is also something I look forward to seeing. If I remember correctly, there are videos of Zhenya doing combinations with +3lo, and +1lo+3s, and such. I imagine she might not do anything risky at the test skates, but maybe she'll experiment a little at Autumn Classic? Personally, I think it would be nice to see a +3lo or +2t+2lo at some point.
Brian is really good at dealing with media and haters. He knows people can be really hateful. He was criticised when he didn't win gold at Olympics. He was criticised after his split with Yuna. He was criticised when his non-Canadian student won Olympics in Sochi and Canadian Patrick got silver. Brian is also a man who managed to convince everyone and their mother that Yuzuru's injury was healed during Olympics: "Never underestimate Mr. Hanyu". Thanks to that, judges and his rivals also believed that. He also is good at calming media when his students have a little bit worse competition than usual.
Brian once said in some interview that he gets angry when he reads haters' comments and bad articles about his students. He was also shocked how malicious and terrible some comments can be. Some years ago Brian told Javi and Yuzuru (and maybe his other students) not to read stuff about them on the Internet. I don't know about Javi but Yuzuru still reads them... So maybe he suggested something similar to Evgenia and as a result she has made her IG private. Or maybe she just wants to really focus and doesn't want any distractions.

Just checked her instagram. I can still see the photos. What did she disable? How do you disable tagging? Don't have personal Instagram. Can someone please explain?
She just put on private her profile, which means nobody can follow her anymore without her permission.
Her followers still can like, comment and see what she does on her account.

Hello. I rarely post on this forum (I mostly just read) but I'm a fan of Evgenia and I wanted to ask if there's a way I could see her Instagram photos again. I don't have an Instagram account so I didn't technically follow Evgenia before she made her Instagram account private. Now I can not see any of her photos.
I have one more question regarding Evgenia's social media activities. I noticed a few people here mentioned that Evgenia sometimes replies to the haters and I'm curious what these replies usually look like. Does she attack back or is she just defending herself? I'm not criticizing either, I myself don't know how I would react.
Anyway, I enjoy reading this fan fest a lot so thank you for keeping it so active.
P.S. I can't wait to see Evgenia's interactions with Brian at the Kiss & Cry area this season (and I hope it will be mostly the "kiss" part

I only have Twitter and not instagram. So if she posts a new photo, please post here. I do follow her on Facebook. Also, I am not alarmed that Evgenia made her account private, she stayed off social media for the Olympic season. I am so excited that the season has begun.

Holly crap the first song brings back some memories (although I'm only familiar with the Nat King Cole version). Both songs seem rather different compared to what she used to skate to.
Excited to see her perform and hope she's mentally recovered after the entire Olympic... uhm... experience.
