I read rumors about Zhenya's layout, and I don't know what to expect! aahh, what emotion.:hap85:


I was sure they would use the Autumn Classic Layout, but the one in ISU is the SC!!.

I would have liked to see a 3S-3Lo, since it gives more possibilities of distribution and replacement in jumps, and much more bv.
But hey, it's just the beginning of the season, so she can be a bit cautious, her Layout is already strong enough by itself.
Will 3f-2t-2t (as in Autom Classic) or 3lz-2t-2t (SC)?


The "problem" with UR in the last loop seems to be a mere fatigue, two 3-3 in the second half are very hard, so if she add a 2A-3lo, she could move the 3S-3T to the first half too , and lower the 3-2-2 to the second half (as they are doing Alina, Satoko and all ladies).

Well, if she adds a 2A-3lo, I'd like to see something like that, it's complex , but I think it's less stressful in the second half:

3Lo (she could also refrain from this 3Lo and put a 3S in its place).

The flip? That’s what she fell on at SC but other that that it’s usually one of her better jumps. I think she just went off axis here on the takeoff, nothing to be super concerned about because she nailed it over and over in practice
 
Quick- someone in France at IDF tell zhenya to fix her spin haha. Or tell the people there on twitter. I want to see her get level fours.

I agree that the UR issue on the loop looks like it's stamina related. I like your layout but you have an extra combo :biggrin:
 
I think they are going with 3F2T2T, just in case she misses to add the 3T to the second 3F, so she doesn't get deducted for doing two solo flips.

Some of the landings look a bit tight, but the 2A3Lo looks really good, as I said two weeks ago, this is one of competitions to upgrade her content. In case she doesn't make the final she has a whole month to practice her new layout.

For the next competitions I think the next step is to backload 2 combos: 3F3T and 3F2T2T. I think they didn't do it here because it might be two much for her stamina and also to keep her focus (first time attempting 2A3Lo can be distracting).

. Are not you supposed to put a 2A in a combo while you have the 7 triples and a loop between them? (At least that's what the rules said after 2010, and it was kind of crazy because Yuna could not make her 2A-3T combo for that new rule)

I have not repeated any jump by itself, so there is no Zayak.


But maybe it's forbidden to mix two 3-3 combos with two 3-2 combos even if it does not violate the zayak rule ? (Can only make a maximum of 3 combos ?? someone to guide me).

if so, what a pity, it would limit a lot, and zhenya should then eliminate 3-2-2 and add a 2t to 2A-3Lo (like Kaori's combo), a 2A-3Lo is only 8.20, a 3-2- 2 is at least an 8.50, and the 3S-3T 8.50. So, what would a 2A-3Lo serve if you can not add to the other combos' !!!!
 
MedoLove, I have a bit of trouble understanding what you mean. She can do a total of 11 jumping passes, repeat two triple jumps and two double jumps, if I‘m not mistaken. So no 3 2T or 3 2A (Yuna used to do the latter as she couldn‘t do 3Lo due to her back problems but something like this wouldn‘t be allowed anymore today)

So Zhenya can do a 2A-3Lo combo it basically serves as a 3-3 combo. She can do another one (e.g. 3S-3T or in this case 3F-3T) and also a 3-2-2 combo - presumably 3F-2T-2T. I don‘t know the value of a 2A-3Lo unfortunately but I think it does add to her BV as repeating 3Lo gives her more points than repeating 3T.

Your layout didn‘t work because you repeated both the 3F, the 3T and the 3Lo. You can only repeat two triple jumps. The 2A-3Lo basically acts like a 3-3.

Or am I totally wrong and didn‘t understand at all what you wanted to say? If so: Sorry! Happens sometimes. Just tell me: ”Fluture, you are talking nonsense!“ then. :biggrin:

Skaters are only allowed 3 combination jumping passes (one of which is allowed to be a 3 jump combo). Adding 2A3Lo allows Zhenya to repeat 3Lo instead of 3T, giving her higher BV. Also, in my opinion her Loop combo is much better looking than her toe combo, so she should get higher GOEs for it as well (plus the GOE for the jumping pass will be calculated off the 3Lo BV instead of the 2A BV).

-Her camel position is still half a revolution too short - Brian said they know where she messed up the spins so she really just needs to focus and count to 3 lol Zhenya pls hold your camel position
-I think the final 3lo will benefit from not having both combos backloaded, and I am a fan of this layout

I don't know exactly what you mean...
Yuna in 2010 did 3 2A: two in combination (2A2T2Lo and 2A3T). I think later they limitted the number of 2A to 2.

So yuna (post 2010) had to do 3Lz3T, 2A2T2lo 3S2T. (She repeated 2 3Lz and 2 3S) Her layout was something like this:
3Lz3T 3F 3S2T 3Lz 2A2T2Lo 3S 2A (I don't know the exact order)
If she had been able to do a 3Lo then she could have removed one of the 3S by 3Lo and then do 3T after 2A (so she could have repeated 3Lz and 3T). That would have allowed her to have one more triple un her program. For example:

3Lz3T 3F 3Lo 3Lz 2A2T2Lo 2A3T 3S

About your layout, you had 4 combinations. They can only do 3 combos
