I also watched the FS again and it wasn't all that bad. Lutz looked inside to me but the second Axel was as good as in the SP. Despite looking insecure overall there were still glimpses of her fighting spirit. (Also, you really can't say she didn't try everything she could to avoid kissing the ice with her bum. )

It's good that she knows what the problem is and I hope she'll accept any help she can get in order to sort that out.

So, she just performed her EX, nailing 2 jumps. She just seemed a bit slow to me, but more calm and at ease.
It's just those stupid haters that take her confidence away.

I saw Olympic Channel instastory with Zhenya dancing before her EX. It made me feeling better as I was salty since yesterday

I wanted to write yesterday but my phone was half dead after the competition.

I think it’s obvious to anyone that the problem is not in her training but in her head. In the 6 min warmup she didn’t miss a jump, 2A3Lo has been solid all week and so have all the other jumps. I think the problem is the insane amount of
Pressure that has been placed on her: she kept thinking that if she doesn’t make GPF and has immediate results people will say she’s done forever and the fear completely paralized her - it was tangible from the seats, she sabotaged herself because she was too scared.

Unfortunately this is something that only she can overcome, and I hope that now that she has let herself fail she will realize that it didn’t kill her and that she can do this - the support she got yesterday was incredible, I hope people won’t give up on her: I know I won’t!

Exactly- Jason Brown said that for him it was important to see that his worst nightmare (nationals last year happened) and the world kept going. Sometimes the worst has to happen for you to learn you are strong enough to get through it. I believe in Zhenya.

Times like this I realise how grateful I am that Jason is our Zhenya's training partner. I think if someone, it's him who will be able to make her fall in love with skating again and help her get back her fire. Until then we have to have faith in Zhenya and the whole TCC crew.

Honestly, I’ve enjoyed her EXs from the summer and after comps more than her actual comp programs this year. I fully support Zhenya getting a say in programs but the programs she has this year really don’t seem to be the right vehicle for her to thrive with on top of all the stresses she already has. I’m hoping next season she can get programs from Shae Lynn borne or Tom Dickinson who seem to be a bit closer to her style. I don’t doubt that David Wilson is a great choreographer but it doesn’t seem like his style is really fitting for Zhenya in the same way it worked for Yuna. I hope she gets all the support she can get between now and nationals and show us the fighter Zhenya she is!

Sima Sakhanovich posted a story on instagram about Zhenya with a photo of the two of them. I don‘t know what she wrote as it‘s in Russian. I really hope Zhenya can go to this one event Sima is attending and compete there. It seems she really needs more competitions to get into the mood again and this isn‘t one as important and she could meet her friend there. Is there any way for her to go there if Pogorilaya withdraws even though she‘s not on the sub list?
