To bring some positivity and cuteness, the Super Juniors had an appearance on Russian TV, first on the news and then on a talk show, and name dropped Zhenya twice Sasha mentioned how Zhenya was the one who gifted her her tissue-box and then on the talk show, when the host asked if the audience throws some food on the ice as well, the girls said that some fan threw a pack of pelmeni after Zhenya's performance

Oh, I know the story about tissue-box. Last year after Junior Worlds Sasha said that the main reason she came to Eteri's group was because she wanted to skate alongside Zhenya (not saying that Eteri is a bad coach,etc..). Then they lived together in Novogorsk and Zhenya was going away, to Japan, for a show. Zhenya asked Sasha what gift she woud wanted. Sasha asked for a tissue-box like Luna.

This is a great idea and definitely something we should do. The off-season will be reaaally long for us Zhenya fans this year so we should find a way to keep ourselves busy!

I have another thing that can keep one busy. Fanfictions. I know some dont like it but i just love them .many are written so so well

I love how active this thread has been. For me, this fanfest is the only place without much toxicity in the online skating community. I hope during the looong off season we will somehow manage to stay active.

We will. It's too important. If Zhenya got the birthday card and gift that I sent via UPS to TCC club, I told her to check this fan fest, because it is a safe place.

I've never been to a competition before and this may be utter nonsense, but if Javi goes to the Europeans and Brian with him, is there any chance of me giving him a letter and a gift for him to give them to Zhenya back at TCC?

Europeans is a pretty big competition but if you happen to meet Javi or Brian they would surely hand over your gift! I think you should definitely try!

Marina Zoueva is still active, but coaches only ice dancers. And since Meryl Davis and Charlie White retired, and Tessa and Scott (Virtue/Moir) left her, went 2 years off the circuit and came back in spectacular fashion by moving at "The Gadbois" (in Montréal) with Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon (who still looks like close to a war zone due to the Turcot Interchange still being completely reconstructed!), with the glorious conclusion everyone here knows, I seriously doubt Mrs. Zoueva could do something...

"Local Flavor Note": Just by thinking at her "Beautiful Mess" Exhibition, I'm more eager seeing Samuel Chouinard choregraphing a program for Zhenya long before this happens!!!

Some positivity. Maxim Trankov said very nice words about Zhenya when he was commentating ladies' FP. Basically, what we are saying here. That she is wonderful, but what she is going through right now is very understandable. She can't be this tiny bear, smiling little girl forever. She is growing and turning into amazing an young woman. She can 'own' audience like no one else. He really hopes she will prevail, because he badly wants to see her skate and have a long carrier. Now, if only some officials from RusFed could hear that.

Well, those brass should shake off their old Soviet-era thinking and let fresher, younger minds run the house!!!

Maybe if we run out of things in the long off season we can spend some time to indulge in all of our old favourite programs, dresses, memes and all that fun stuff!
I love this fan fest!

Zhenya was pretty active on social media during the summer. Maybe she’ll do a repeat because we may not be seeing her perform in front of an audience until the spring/summer shows.

I truly only hope they will change the Universiade assignment, everything else I don‘t care about. Oh, and I still stand by my statement: It would do no good for Zhenya to be at Worlds this year...

I want to be mistaken and maybe I'm overly pessimistic, but I think this is just words. I mean, Lisa is definitely going (of course, if she is healthy and ready, and I really hope she is, come on, Empress.) And it's not like there will be any skate in the next 3 weeks to prove herself. And taking into account today's big Tschaykovskaya view I don't expect anything good. But of course I would be happy to be proved wrong.
