Man, she looks so dream-like. This is definitely the best gala setting ever  I would looooove to attend that performance!

Now I will watch the performances of Eugene on TV on New Year's Eve. What you need for an amazing holiday: friends, salad "Olivier", and Zhenya on TV.

yes, she was hurt by something (see interview after France GP) but I think this was not the only reason.

-In one of her interwiews after the coaching change she said “I just thought if I will not do any changing, if I will leave everything how it was, I just wouldn’t compete at all,” Medvedeva said. “I just understood that I really wanted to improve myself. I want to start a new life.”
-In another interview, she mentioned that she wants more muscle.
-I think she realized also if she would stay with the old coaching team, there would be no jump technique change. The best example is her axel or her toe-pick improvement under Orser

So, she thought Orser was the best option.
"At the Olympic Games in Beijing, I will be 22. Not only this of course. Orser in general have many athletes, who in the figure skating are usually called aged and who passed more than one Olympics. Yuna Kim is just one of them."
Can someone post a link to Zhenya’s interview after GP France?

I am not familiar with this issue. Sounds serious?
WADA is the Anti-Doping Agency. Sounds serious :/ apparently RusFed hasn't given them all the data for Doping Testing between 2012-2015 like it was promised. If RusFed does not hand them in they will be sanctioned e.g. skaters being banned from competing

The flower question- judging from her answer she was hurt by something and it´s personal

There’s a reason and no one will ever know it. Especially from me. I will never tell about it. I think this is a personal. That’s why, please, don’t try to get it out of me why it happened. It happened. That’s all.

How come?

Because Russia already got away with their systematic doping violations with a slap on the wrist and nothing is going to change realistically. They'll likely just get another slap on the wrist and pay a fine, enabling WADA to walk away saying they did *something.* I have no hopes that WADA will or is even really all that interested in trying to enforce significant sanctions against a nation as powerful as Russia. WADA's coasted by doing the absolute bare minimum with Russia's doping violations considering the sheer volume of evidence available to both them and the public.

ANYWAY, Evgenia Medvedeva isn't responsible for the decisions made by much older men and women who should know better and I hope this doesn't impact her in the least.

ALL Russia's athletes? Then the Fed better hussle up.

The ISU did not ban all athletes the last time after the Investigation when the initial sanctions were put into place. Best bet is to ignore the drama and watch out for people who will try to flame the debate by interjecting drama. .

This really doesn’t belong in this thread IMO but let’s see what happens once the WADA gets their computers certified and up to the standard asked for by Russia.

Here in Russia, the majority believe that this policy. These are sanctions for our independence on the world stage. Our athletes do not violate doping rules more often than others, there are statistics. Almost all sports structures in the world are under control of the USA, Canada, England, including WADA.
I hope the ISU will make the right decision.

I don't think WADA can ban anyone. They recommend things and disclose their reports. Every sport has a governing body, ISU is skating, IAAF is track and Field, Swimming is FINA, etc. WADA runs the drug testing laboratories. The governing bodies decide how they want to discipline Russian athletes.

A lot of Russian athletes train abroad, not just Med. Yulia Efimova and a bunch of other top Russian swimmers train at the University of Souther California. Their top track and field athletes train in the USA, not just because of the superior training facilites, but when they do get tested, it's by an accredited laboratory. Technically, Russian track and field athletes are still banned. The IAAF hasn't reinstated Russia. But this doesn't mean that Russian athletes can't compete. It's similar to the Olympics in Korea. They are registered as "independent" athletes.

So I'm assuming if Med had been randomly tested, it likely would have been in Canada or at one the Grand Prix events and the lab results were from an accredited WADA lab not a Russian lab.
