Yes, wasn‘t it said that the full list of participants will be stated in the next days? I think it‘s highly likely Liza will be there.

Brian is listed first in Evgenia's ISU profile as her coach, then Tracy. I think that means that he is her head coach (Tracy is listed first for Jason, for example, which corresponds to the actual situation).

I think Tracy brought such great energy in US Nats and it would be great to have her in RCF, too. But I agree, the probability of that happening is quite low.

You’re probably right. I’m not familiar with what RusFed pays. I was thinking they may pay for one coachand not two, but I actually have no idea.
 
^ Actually, that might very well be the case... I did not take into account whether they (RusFed) paid for (travel expenses of) 1 or 2 coaches.
 
Seeing Elizabet do a 4sal makes me optimistic about Zhenya being able to do one in the future. Similar to Zhenya, her height/distance on *most* jumps is just adequate, yet she's able to do a quad. I'd say Zhenya's 3sal is a bit better than Elizabet's so I think with training she could potentially do a 4sal too. Of course it's more complex than that. Elizabet is also really tiny so maybe it'd be harder for Zhenya but I think her 3sal is good enough to at least try training it.
 
Zhenya can still conceivably make the Worlds team! While sitting out Worlds may be a good idea this season, having more competition experience with her new programs and layout aren't bad either. She was the highest scoring senior in the FS at nationals, and with even an okay SP could've been ahead of Stanislava, Alina, and Sofia. Aside from Alina, she has a huge PCS advantage over the others, so winning the Russian Cup Final would be possible if she's clean.

Alina, Elizaveta, and Sofia all earned the right to Worlds spots with their achievements this season, but if Zhenya skates lights out now that it's closer to Worlds, I can see her earn a spot on the team. I'll be rooting for everyone to put out their best performance :yahoo:
 
On the comments of the possibility of Tracy going to Russia Cup, I dont think Tracy will be going. Only Orser will.

Since Tracy's not Evgenia's head coach, she will only be there where many of the TCC skaters are competing, like Worlds.

Or a competition where Jason Brown is also going. That happened for Canada & France GP cos both Jason & Evgenia went to the same competitions.

On Ice Perceptives who???? But seriously focusing beyond Javi’s 🍑 to his edges...Evgenia’s edges have improved so much already but I can’t wait for a footwork sequence where she gets that one deep carved edge that makes me weak!!

I was also watching Javi Fernandez’s 2016 Worlds FS and the CBC commentator said that Javi was dealing with a sore foot beforehand, which I didn’t know about, and he had to rest. Not ideal when you’re the defending world champion. But he won!

With everything we’ve learned from Yuzu and Javi’s careers it’s clear that Brian’s Peak Performance visualization helps a great deal. One reason Yuzuru was able to get his jumps back so quick before Pyeongchang was because of visualization and understanding of how the jump feels when it’s landed. Jenny Kirk has also talked about this.

Anyway I feel like this will be helpful in the future. We know she’s mentally tough! But I think these techniques will help when she’s feeling frustrated. As we saw, she mostly tried just being angry to get in the zone and it had very...mixed results.

There's nothing really substantial to translate, tbh. It's some mtv show dedicated to KPop and Zhenya and the host are just joking around and talking about KPop, how Zhenya was in Korea for the Olympics (nothing new about that either) and a little bit about figure skating. So nothing interesting, but she's very charming and obviously totally in her element when it comes to KPop :laugh:

Thanks! I tried understanding, but I just couldn't make sense out of any of it except for when he was naming her titles ahhahaha
 
Well, now it's official that Evgenia will go to COR. Two clean programs, please, Zhenya !!!!! I do not want to delude myself, my hopes are 50/50, I just want that at least she manages to clean the SP in its entirety, so that she can feel satisfied.


Who goes to the Universiade? I know Konstantinova, but who is the second girl, Liza ??? If Konstantinova gets a lower score in COR, they could at least give Zhenya that place: /.
