a lot of people in the comments are mad that EM got first place over ET cause she fell. I didn't see FS. Any truth to that?
Not at all
Liza did won the FS an the final score was very close.
Zhenya had a 4 point margin because Liza fell on the sp. Liza landed the 3A on the FS but doubled a triple toe. Zhenya's jumps and spins were clean and well executed (I'm specially proud of the 3Lz). The only exception is the fall, but she got a fair TES 72.
I tried not to be biased, but this is just my opinion.

But Liza fell on ultra element and landed it in FP.
And Zhenya wasn't called on her URs.
She won but fair or not is a matter of discussion.

There are plenty of places to have that discussion but bringing up hate comments and trying to have that discussion in her fanfest probably isn't the best way to go about it.

I didn’t see as many underrotations as people claim there were. I get maybe the 2A in the SP was borderline but other than that, I didn’t see under rotation problems. Granted, if there were (I’m not expert so there may as well have been) and we’re talking fair, Liza’s PCS was in my opinion, a bit overinflated.

Honestly, competition is over, why can’t we just be happy for the wonderful skaters without people trying to tear everything they do both right and wrong from every angle possible?

Internationaly the PCS gap would be wider. About UR, there was no UR in the SP, in the FS she was called 3S3lo<<. The only questionabe jump which was borderline was the 3T in the FS.

But you could also say Lisa´s 3A was questionable

Agree. This is the reason I refrain from posting in the competition threads. I do read the threads and I just shake my head and keep quiet.

I enjoy the fan fests because I can celebrate a skater without the dissection of their programs, bad judging calls etc.

Super pleased that Med skated well. Her confidence is on the mend.

That being said, I hope Tukt gets named to the Worlds because 1) if not, the blowback and negative criticism to Med will be vicious, 2) the pressure at Worlds will be immense and she'll lose goodwill with the public if she falters, and 3) Med does need some extended time to lock herself away at TCC and iron everything out.

Her Lutz is such a pretty jump now! It's impossible to tell if it was the correct edge based on the angle of the cameras (I'm assuming it was wrong edge, but the judges shouldn't judge based on assumptions) But it's just a very nice looking jump. It's not a dodgy takeoff or landing anymore.

I hope they send Liza. Zhenya needs to lock herself away in TCC for a long amount of time and get adjusted even more. If she goes to Worlds and does poorly, then I think her confidence and progress is destroyed. I don't think she's ready for that pressure yet.

But isn’t it nice for her to come to this point after a season of ups and downs and changes. She conquered her challenges and is growing as a skater. Well done, Zhenya!

It makes sense a bit. Zhenya said she's going to Toronto tomorrow. So if she doesn't get to go to worlds then I don't think she will come back to Universiade.

I think Liza is going to worlds based on that.

Yes, but Russia has only 2 spots for Universiade, then it means Zhenya isn't going even to Universiade.

True, I can imagine Zhenya wouldn't want to compete again if she's not going to Worlds. Either that or they may split Worlds and WTT between Liza and Zhenya, so they didn't give either one Universiade.
