I think this could mean that Sofia does not get a spot
If you mean that Sofia is not going to Worlds and the team is Alina, Liza, Zhenya... there is NO WAY that they aren't sending Sofia to Worlds. She's the European champion!

RusFed... what the F.A.Q are you doiing?

And I think she would compete , but it could also mean that both Liza and zhenya are going to world's, anyone given that a thought? Sotskova was alternative to both, so it could also mean exactly that.

I think we‘ve all thought about that. I have, at least, very thoroughly so. But I will say that with everything rusfed has done in the past and what various people have said before this competition, this option does not make sense to me. We have Sofia, she‘s the European Champ. It‘s like an unspoken rule that the Euros champ gets to go to Worlds. I don‘t think there‘s ever been an exception. And then we have Alina which is admittedly a difficult case but I still cannot imagine her not going. Why? Because she would have been here for the RCF if her spot was in danger. If they were even considering not sending her, they would have told her. That leads me to believe it was the third spot that was decided here. Of course, as we have a very tight result between Zhenya and Liza, this makes the whole situation more complicated and I frankly don‘t know what rusfed will do. But I, personally, doubt that they will remove either Sofia or Alina from the team.

Sofia: I think it‘s clear. She‘s Euros Champ, consistent, her scores have been rising

Alina... she did medal at all her international competitions this season. Of course I‘m aware that she has been having problems lately but she still gets very high PCS despite of that. And if she is clean (= no falls in this case) which she almost always is in practice, she could potentially challenge Rika Kihira for the gold. Also, she has been saying in interviews that she would go to Worlds, so if there was any doubt about that, I don‘t think she would talk so easily about that. I guess they have been watching her training process and if she was deteriorating, they would have had her compete here.

But that‘s just my opinion, we will only really know when the worlds spots are officially announced.

Mabye something is going on with alina? Who knows? I heard in another forum that there were some news about alina, but what news I have no idea

I just heard that it could very well be that alina is withdrawing from world. Which would mean the team would be Sofia, Liza and zhenya

“Love and positive emotions will save the World. That‘s how it is. Those, who don‘t like it - goodbye! Thank you so much!“

Yes. Can we copy paste that and post it in the Russian ladies thread until they hear it?

I love what she said about Liza. No matter what anyone says, this girl IS a great competitor, in defeat and victory. Not once has she said a bad word about her rivals. She is always classy and respectful.

I hope not... Since the beginning of last season I had the feeling that they wanted Alina to be the next Lipnitskaya and we know how that ended. Please, not Alina. Even if Zhenya doesn't go to worlds.

I think it's better to avoid that thread for a while

Why would anyone want Alina to be the next Lipnitskaya?? And who is “they“?? I know this isn‘t the right place to discuss this but I‘m genuinely confused right now.

But... but... it‘s drama! Russian drama! What‘s better than that? Just kidding. Or... am I?

Eteri... RusFed... another Olympic Champion at 15 from Eteri Camp? That was a sweeet swweeet candy to aim for. Even if she breaks the year after Olympics they won't care. I've had these vibes since last year and I hope they don't come true.

Ohh, that‘s what you meant... I thought the fans or something. Well, let‘s say that I hope that I certainly hope that this won‘t turn out to be true. I like Alina a lot even Zhenya will always be number 1 for me and I don‘t want anything bad to happen to her. I hope she gets a good rest after her last competition (whenever that may be) and has some off-time with Masaru and her family. That’s all I’m going to say. But I don‘t think this is the right place to discuss something like that...

Okay, good, so I‘m not the only one who finds the outrage genuinely funny? I thought I was crazy. Well, maybe we are both. :laugh2:

 You are definitely not the only one. It used to upset me, now it's just funny. the only thing I don't like is when those nasty messages are brought here, to fanfest.
