Evgenia Medvedeva

Well.. she actually said that she was unhealthy on at least one interview: https://twitter.com/TheAnnaWatson/status/1109399028658331648/photo/4
And when she doesn't say explicitly that she left solely because of that, she heavily implies that now she is much healthier and in better shape than she was under Eteri. She doesn't blame anyone (although the watching the scales bit scares me) but it seems that health was one of the reasons why she left.
I agree, health played a role in her decision.

Also, about the student wanting to be called by her first name, wanting more rest and a different choreographer: in my opinion, it has Yulia written all over it. For example, there are at least a few documentaries of Eteri and Zhenya, and she always called her by her first name, aka "Zhenya".

It could be Yulia who demanded a new choreographer as she got to work with Marina Zueva in her last season with Eteri. Even though I don't think it is a bad thing at all to try new choreographers. Every person can teach you a different thing.

About the name thing, I also don't think it was Zhenya. In all the videos we have with Eteri and Zhenya, Eteri always says Zhenya, I would say it's quite automatic. Also they had the "Zhenya in batter" trick.

About the rest time, I don't know why she considers that a bad thing at all??? Zhenya said in an interview after a competition in 2017 (I don't remember if it was Euros or Worlds) that she had only rested for a day. Now would It be so bad if she took two more days off? Yes, maybe the rest of the team was working really hard, but they didn't have the same competition schedule as Zhenya back then.

Anyways I'm relieved that there is no much drama after this interview :)

I love this gala program! Actually, this was the reason that i became such a big fan of her..it was in January 2018 during the gala exhibition of Europeans in Moscow! I felt immediately in love with her expressions and with the fire on her eyes!
This is my story too. :)

I think there's much more behind Zhenya's departure.

There's a lot behind it but one of the main things is that Eteri did not want to give up control of music and choreography and people like Zhenya and the first Polina wanted more decision making powers as they become more adult young women. That is normal. If Eteri loosened the reigns on them others would notice and want the same. This strategy works well for Eteri but it will also drive the occasional elite skater away from her. Another reason for leaving EG it is like a child leaving home for the first time to go away to college. They desire new experiences and new voices. I've been there and done that. It's normal. Its life. Any bad blood between Evgenia and her former coach will dissipate over time like it has with Polina and Yulia. Zhenya has moved on and so should her former coach who has a stable of talent in one discipline that no one is ever seen before. EG should be happy but rarely seems to be happy. Maybe the health issues her recently passed away mother made her unhappy. That would be understandable. I have two parents with major health issues and I am rarely happy. Maybe its just the life of a coach in a very tough and demanding sport where stress plays a role in being more unhappy than happy. I will say that no matter what has happened to her Zhenya has always had a very warm and friendly personality that hasn't changed. Nor will it.

Wish your parents good health. And you, happiness.

Does Brian say 'her 4T is not bad either'? They already tried it or did he mean 3T?
No he said 4T would be a good option to try when training Quads, he did not mean that she already has jumped it.

"It's a risk and with this new system if you fall, you get -5 and that's a huge hit. We are working on it and I think our first one would be the 4S but a 4T is not bad either so one of those two."
