That's so nice. But she will not have any rest before doing Wizard of Oz.

You are right quad sal! Do you think there is any chance that she learns the triple axel? I know Hanyu has a hard time with the double but can do a triple and almost a quad axel now[emoji54]

Third factor: She loves Figure Skating. Olympic is important but it is not everything. She's not going to be skating for any country other than Russia. Period. Imo, there are two possible motivating factors keeping her in the sport post-Pyeongchang:
1. The fact that she didn't get a chance to represent her country in the Olympics. It was her dream to stand atop the podium and sing the Russian anthem. She did not get that opportunity due to some unfortunate politics, and that might be something she wants to get back. Unfortunately, it seems that this is going to happen again,
2. The fact that she is not an Olympic champion. As one of the most accomplished skaters ever, Evgenia has basically won every other important title there is to win, some multiple times. The OGM would cement that legacy.
There's no guarantee that she will even make it on the Olympic team if she moves to a country where the competition is at a high level. Canada is one of those countries. No, no, no. This is a terrible idea all around.
Why should it get much worse? While I think international scoring is bad, it´s nothing against Russian home competition. She is losing already the political game in Russia. Until today nobody could say why level 2 on the Spin, why PCS inflation by others and not by her, why GOE inflation by Eteri girls and not by others, why the TP ignores edges by the winner. For the people who think she is not currently being judged/scored "fairly" (whatever that means in this sport), it will probably get much worse.
From Evgenia's standpoint, the potential benefits of this move must outweigh all of these negatives, and it must help her move closer to one of her main goals

How heart-warming is it that she is so loved?

I know she wanted to start training 3A last year, but Brian told her that 4S was better for her. He's also mentioned 4T is okay for her too. However, this may be unpopular, but I think 3A would be the best option after 4S. Her 2A may still be a bit wonky in competition, but it's improved soooooo much. If some other ladies with tiny/wonky 2As can train a 3A, I don't see why Zhenya can't at some point.

Didnt Evgenia say in a meet & greet that she tried training 3A in a harness & her coaches went "Whooaa, no no". It was really off or something.
What a pleasure!
