Looks like Zhenya’s seminar for Japanese Tokai University was today:


56 minutes, wow! I’m really impressed how good her English is. Of course, living in Canada for two years will do that to you but still, almost an hour long live interview in a second language is still difficult to pull off.

Apparently they offered her to study at their university, too, haha. How sweet.

Zhenya’s also not running out of other opportunities, she‘ll be doing a skating seminar/master class.

I agree. I am actually looking forward to it now that we’ll see Zhenya. I hope the drama will be kept at a minimum and everyone will have fun. It could be like WTT, which is a great event for so many reasons, one of them that it’s not as cutthroat as other major competitions and it also has the team portion. I’m pretty sure both teams will want to win, they’re all very competitive after all, but it should be not as...intense as a Worlds or National competition.

On the color of costumes. Did anyone pick white and blue for Masquerade? Did anyone pick purple for Alegria? I think purple is perfect.

According to her, she was in Transbaikalia for the first time and I really liked the region. Evgeniya skated on lakes Kenon and on Arkhalea. “It's cold, but very cool,” added the skater.​

Recall that 2021-2025 in Transbaikalia has been declared the 5th anniversary of sports. It was to the official grand opening that Evgenia Medvedeva was invited. The event will take place on January 23 in Chita in the Ice Palace, as well as in all regional centers of the Trans-Baikal Territory.​

I hope she does more of these classes. I'd like her to do it in European cities, too. To be an ambassador of the sport.
And I love her pink sweater.

Zhenya says in the video:"I would like to motivate the guys to go in for sports. Show by your own example that sport is really the norm of life.
Probably, people do not have enough opportunities, but opportunities are places, sections where to start playing sports. I hope that the next 5-10 years will be invested in the development of sports. In the construction of new skating rinks, stadiums."

The Minister of Sports of Transbaikalia says in the video:
"It was very interesting today. Evgenia, when approaching Chita, she noticed that we have a lake practically in the center of the city. She asked us to take her there, she rode. She really liked it. After lunch we took her to Arakhlei. She also rode, was delighted with our nature."
