Figure Skating in Austria

My gosh, Anton Skoficz landed a clean 3A with positive GOE at Dragon Trophy. :yahoo:

It'a going to be an Austrian-free GP season this time, right? :(
Olga is in the top 10 on the replacement list, so there is still a chance of her getting something. There is uncertainty about the two Korean skaters assigned to Skate America, as they are currently suspended by the Korean fed (but are appealing). If they end up as last minute withdrawals I think Olga could have a good chance of getting one of those spots seeing as she trains in the US and would not need a visa etc.

Ah, thank you for the update!
I completely missed some drama there it seems 🫣

Some updates from Stefanie Pesendorfer have been published in the latest Pirouette magazine.

After 17 years in Linz with coaches Denise Jaschek and Markus Haider she has switched to Niko Ulanovsky in Oberstdorf. This season her goal is to compete at Euros in Tallinn since Olga secured two spots for Austria.
Her new SP will be to "Caruso" choreographed by Joti Polizoakis, the FS is choreographed by Vitali Schulz.
Stefanie plans to end her career in 2026. She'd like to do some show skating maybe on a cruise ship for some time, but ultimately she aspires to become a coach.

Just popping in to let you know that I have created a Fan Fest thread for Polina Mozokhina (now Levitskaya):

https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/threads/98886

Does anybody know of any domestic competitions in Austria that she competed in? I haven't been able to find any on the fan-run databases I use, but I am pretty sure she would have competed in them.

Also, coming back to the present, is she still coaching the Ruis siblings?

Anyway, I hope you like the thread.

And of course, best of luck to Olga, who is competing at GP Skate America this weekend! 🍀:cheer2:

ETA: Smooth ice and clean skates also to our Austrian competitors Steffie, Natalie, Flora, and Anton at CS Trophy Metropole Nice!

I just watched Gabriella and Maierhofers FS at the Ice Challenge, and for a first outing it was pretty good (they didn't get the gold for nothing)! And, SBS triple lutzes, it's been a while since I saw that!
