Man I really wanted Aliona to go to Worlds especially since Liza (although I love her) has already been to worlds. And with Kamila moving up next year, this was looking to be Aliona’s only shot.

Ugh no no no. This is why Eteri choses the music for the skater because these kids dont know their strength and weakness. I blame the team around Alena for this. The program is so generic. There is literally 2 seconds of choreo at the start and then the step seq. Alena has great skating skills but she always is quite slow in her step seq which is why Winter is the wrong music for her because she cant keep up with it in the step seq. I cant believe it makes her look like she has bad skating skills. Honestly her Billie Ellish program was the least of her problems. It had a gorgeous opening and a strong step seq.

What? Kostornaya was not anywhere near Usacheva in terms of skating skills today.

I also don't think she stands out in comparison to Usacheva, in fact I think Usacheva just has better skating skills period, even when Kostornaya is in form.

I couldn’t take her crying in the K&C. Missed combo was damning and she struggled in the step sequence. She’s still recovering and judges did what they could. That could’ve gone sub 70.

Her reputation too. They did the same thing with her as they did with Dimitri..they're reigning Euros champions and they want them to go and are doing everything to help..but..

Well she does still do pretty well even when not clean but..clean helps if she wants any chance at a World's medal..

With Anna and Sasha already nominated that would mean catching up on an 11 points lead, meaning a meltdown for Kamila. Rather unlikely.
