First Day of Winter

In some places it must seem like the first day of winter, but here in So CA the weather is warm and beautiful and the surf is up! Just got back from watching the BIG surf pound the coast. Such power!

The weather here has been below normal all month. Kinda gives a new meaning to the phrase "January Thaw."

And to think, winter is just beginning.....................

This is the shortest day of the year... so we didn't get light until almost 11am and it began getting DARK at around 2:30... insane lol

it finally snowed here too... we've had shinooks for the past month and a half!

oh and one of my best friends gave birth to her son this morning! WOOT!

Sort of nice here today in the San Joaquin Valley, about 65 degrees. We've had a little rain this week and awful tule fog last week.....(hate that fog.... ).....42

We've already had at least 3 snowfalls of between 2 to 4 inches each (other areas got more). Supposedly, it's been the snowiest December in years.

For Christmas, the forecast is for upper 40's which will feel very warm, but is more normal.
