Fitters for Risport?

Does anyone know a fitter who is familiar with Risports in the PNW? Ideally I'd like to actually try a pair on in store if possible. I'm currently in Jackson Debuts but have been having a host of problems. My current fitter says my feet are wide in the toe box but I have very narrow heels. I'm currently in size 5 regular in the Debuts but had to get the toe box stretched and sides punched out in multiple places and they still feel tight... but my heel comes out of the boot! I'm about done with these, and I've been reading Risports may work for feet like mine, but I'd feel better if I could try them on before buying, if such a thing is possible. My current fitter doesn't do Risports.

I live in the greater Seattle area, but I travel a fair amount and this year I'll be going to Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Vancouver, and Hawaii, so could potentially do a fitting in one of those places.

They have boots of many brands in stock, although it's possible they might not have your size in on a particular day if they're waiting for a shipment. It's best to make an appointment first before you travel there, what with the hassle of a border crossing each way. One of the fitters will measure your feet and ankles and decide what brands would fit you best, and get you to try on several models of the brands suitable for your feet and level of skating ability. Risport might not be suitable for your feet after all.

They carry Edea, Graf, Jackson, Riedell and Risport boots and Matrix, MK and Wilson blades and will order in the size you need if it's not on the shelves the day you're there. Coming from another country, it would be a good idea to check their website and download their fitting chart first so they can let you know when to make an appointment. Not sure if I can add a URL here, but just Google Cyclone Taylor Figure Skates. There are two separate CT stores, one for hockey equipment and one for figure skating.

* The fitter for your Debuts really screwed up. A snug (but not painfully pinching) fit of the heel of the foot into the heel pocket of the boot is essential. At the same time, the heel pocket is the portion of the boot least amenable to modification. So when you try out your next pair of boots, make sure the heel fit is proper as is (or with at most minimal modification).

* If the ball width of your foot is much greater than the heel width of your foot, there's a good chance that you might not fit any stock boot, even with heat molding and punching of the portions of the boot outside the heel pocket. E.g., in the Jackson line, depending on how much wider the ball width is greater than the heel width, you might need to go for a rapid custom or a full custom. You should probably allow for the contingency of more than one visit to the fitter. But I do hope you luck out!
