Hmm not quite sure how I feel about it. I like the color, but not the knot. Regardless, excited to see them compete at Europeans, will be good for sure

I don't like the dress at all. I didn't like the original version and this one is even worse. I particularly don't like the cut of the skirt and the fabric looks simply cheap and crumpled. I have always admired her dresses (especially from the FDs), but this season I say no to this strange costume.

I hate their new costumes...That pink + the mawkish music (with the same rough transition)
Well, definitely not my favourite program from them...Hopefully they'll get back to their old aesthetic, because this is not an interesting approach to me.

Guillaume also seems to wear a different color.
Gabriella seems fine, she took picture with fans right after practice.
With Dostatni in the tech panel, i can say we will have surprise in the levels.
I don't like the new +5/-5 goe for ice dance but with someone like him it's a good thing that others judges have power.
Prepare yourself cause something always happen in ice dance at EC.

I don't think this is a season to forget. This years RD is one of my favorites from them. This FD kind of reminds me of 2017 based on the trajectory. It was never bad but never hit the level of their past programs until worlds. I know they have been taking a lot of breaks so hopefully going into worlds they can make some adjustment. I think this program is to appease those saying they do the same thing. They will probably go back to their style for the olympics at least. Even if this isn't my favorite program I still think its superior to the rest we have seen this season.
Okay the pink dress doesn’t look as bad as I imagined. They’be certainly made the opening section even more fluid.
I think the program itself is okay (again, not the final version yet and they started late this season). What’s encouraging and affirming is their continued elevation and refining of their movement quality.
ETA: The pink looks fine from Alain’s video, but the YouTube video still shows it to be a little too “salmon” for my liking.

When I read about the fall on Twitter I was really scared for them, but after watching the video (thanks for the link!!!) I'm calmer. They seemed fine in the later sections of the program, with unison on the step sequences and all. They were probably really tired and jet-lagged, Gabi posted on Instagram that she was watching tv series at 4am...
Yeah, I hate the costume as well. I don't mind the cropped top+shirt at all, I just wish they had stayed with the grey and tailored it differently. It looks really badly sewn and the fabric is just weird. If the main goal is to show off their gorgeous lines, why not choose something darker that will look better against the ice? Guillaume's costume, on the other hand, looks like regular practice clothes.
Other than that, the curve lift is still a show stopper. My God, how do they do it?!?!

Popping in to say I too didn't like the all-pink-everything outfit in the first picture with the teammates but right now there is a picture in Guillaume's instagram story (reposted from a photographer @katepict, maybe she'll upload a post later or someone can screenshot it?) of them in the curve lift. It's a VERY good shot in itself but it also gives a better look at the new costumes: The pink skirt flows beautifully and Gui's shirt is actually a deep dark purple that goes well with the pink. It might still not be everyone's cup of tea but I say don't judge by an unflattering photo or the super blurry practice vid that shows the colours worse
Also thank goodness the fall is nothing serious, though it sounds and looks scary
I was so relieved that Gabby seemed to have fallen on her butt rather than her head, which could have been a possibility given the way they fell.
After that concussion in 2016 I get extra worried whenever I hear they fell. Also here is a twitter thread involving John C. I think she handled the situation tastefully.

These people who take such a moral tone of "educating" others to me are very presumptuous and annoying. Gabi certainly was gracious in replying to her.

Gabi definitely knows how to handle fraught social media situations well.
Thank goodness that fall wasn't a bad one, but it just goes to prove how even moves that look so simple are actually complex and dangerous! I'm very glad they're both okay. And having seen them in movement, I like the new costumes too. They look good from a distance, which is how the judges and in-arena spectators will see them, and the purple undertones to Guillaume's new outfit complement Gabi's pink very effectively

Here you go the curve on that lift is :eeking: and you're right the dress does flow beautifully here and it also is quite a nice shade of pink, better than on that photo.
