Gracie Gold

Wops you are right, should be Ava not Anna  Anyhows, bottom line is Gracie was way ahead of Ava at Philly as well, where Ava only got 146 points. I´m wondering if results of last years Nats could play a role? Because Ava placed 2. in junior. If they assigned the spots after Philly it does not make sense. But again, I chose to still believe that Gracie will get another Challenger, so that is the reason. Deadline for Nebelhorn Trophy entries is on Friday, please let Gracie get the spot!!

Amber isn´t very young either, and had some similar issues like Gracie with consistency, and she got the spot at Nebelhorn still, all though her SB is lower then Gracie now. She did not have a result from Nats either because of WD, only difference is that Amber got the envelope funding, but since some of the substitutes doesn´t have it either I don´t think that is the reason.
But that was a junior result.....

Honestly I don´t know how the USFS are thinking, I was just trying to find a logic behind it. Because Harrell got the spot at Lombardia, and Lofton is substitute, but Lofton bet Harrell at Cranberry Cup, Lofton was nr. 6 and Harrell nr. 12 :scratch2: :scratch2: But Harrell has better result from Nats last season, Lofton placed very low in junior Nats. Izzo also got the US Challenger, but she hasn´t competed since last season, so some of the spots are clearly based on last season.

So basically nothing makes sense :ROFLMAO:

Exciting! Gracie looks very happy!!
Gracie does look happy. I do hope there is someone there with her, helping with the mental aspects of attending Champs Camp. I believe this is the first time she’s been to Champs Camp since 2017, when everything went down. Also, I may be misremembering but didn’t she say that she hasn’t been back to Detroit (where Champs Camp is being held) since she was dealing with her mental health issues? I just hope that Champs Camp is a good experience for her, whether she gets the TBD or not. I am So impressed with how far she has come!

i hope she is able to enjoy being back at Champs Camp and not let the memories haunt her.

where did you see Champs Camp is being held in Detroit? I thought it was held out in Colorado.

sounds like Gracie is probably facing some old fears and demons, but she has come such a long way in the last 5 years, i hope she is proud of herself.

I saw it on US Figure Skating's Instagram stories. And I follow a couple of the skaters there and they posted a few pictures of being at the Detroit Skating Club. Last year it was held in Nashville, and a few years ago it was at Great Parks. I think it kind of moves around at this point.
I am sure there are some old fears and demons, but she has improved so much and seems (at least outwardly) in a much better place so hopefully she is proud of herself! On the other message board, it said she was the only skater that didn't have a GP that was invited to Champs Camp. This should be great for her confidence in and of itself.
I wish US Figure Skating gave more behind the scenes pictures from Champs Camp. I don't know why they are always so secretive.

I don´t have a clue about how Gracie feels, but I would think the fact that she did get there now must be a huge victory for her. So I hope she can transform whatever bad memories from the place and camp and replace it with this new and better one. Because it´s a reminder of how far she has come. I couldn´t really explain it but she really seemed to be in the right place looking at the picture.

I would also like to see more foot prins from the camp, it´s so annoying  It seems Benoit is there, and Cedric Tour, and they did post some short sneak peaks yesterday, but it was difficult to see much of the skaters. Anyways, it was just a choreography class or something.

I'm so damn proud of her and happy for her for sticking with it for what must seem an eternity. I'm pretty sure no one has done this before in the US? Gone from not skating for several years to coming (almost and hopefully all) the way back?

Maybe when she gets done with singles she can pull a Daisuke Takahashi and switch to dance. :hap10:
