Yes, but both Bradie and Claire were invited to Champs Camp. Bradie because she was high enough in the World Standings (I think that's the name of the list) to get assigned GPs off the bat and Claire because she was in the running for the SA spot, due to her summer competition performances (like Gracie last year). Gracie didn't have either of these and didn't attend Champs Camp as a skater, so she can't show readiness (though I would imagine she is in contact with USFS).By the way, as far as readiness Bradie has WD from her past 2 assigmments and Clare at least one, maybe 2. Why aren't they monitoring their readiness? Or at least naming alternates?
You are right. If she doesn't show up to the NQS I will go to the Scott Hamilton thing.Yes, but both Bradie and Claire were invited to Champs Camp. When it comes to Ellie and Danny, they live in Colorado Springs, USFS headquarters. I imagine they were monitored and sent that way. As far as "training," that's all I know. The person doesn't know Gracie but knows someone that sometimes skates with her, so take it for what it is...not much. I can't tell you what to do, but if she doesn't attend one of these last NQS competitions next weekend, if it was ME, I would plan to attend the Scott Hamilton show. But again, I don't know Gracie or anyone close to her, so I have no idea what her plans are. Good Luck making a decision, and I am jealous you will get to see her skate!

Thank you very much @Ic3Rabbit. Road2Gold told me on IG she was doing PT for injury in Colorado Springs. She was initially not coaching at the final R2G of the year to concentrate on training. Now she is going to be coaching. I think I will have to let go of it and be pleasantly surprised if she shows up atone of these NQS. Man my life as a fan has been rough for the past week or so.As far as NQS: If she's competing it's going to be one of these 3, with two of them on separate coasts the same weekend (so really possibility of 2 of 3).

My best guess would be LA Autumn Classic since that's her old training center and IIRC her mom and sister still live in the LA Area. Otherwise, Boston.
All of that is usually monitored by the skating fed.I guess the only good thing is that if she is in CS, they can monitor her readiness? I'm glad I got in a plane and brought her the good roses last year.
Right but @SkateTM0102 was saying Ellie and Danny were in CS so they could be monitored, so I figured Gracie could also be monitored in CS.All of that is usually monitored by the skating fed.
I'm not saying they shouldn't have been assigned, don't get me wrong. I'm saying USFS should be naming substitutes anywhere allowed, because no one knows what will happen. God forbid they could be sick, injured, whatever, and no one else can be sent (Gracie or not Gracie) because no substitutes were named. I know they know how to name substitutes, they named TEN for a men's JGP event.Yes, but both Bradie and Claire were invited to Champs Camp. Well, at least it will save me money not going to Nationals. So, it appears that Gracie is not doing the NQS this season, which means that unless she goes to 3 Challenger events, she’s not going to nationals.
Why would USFS be at her rink promoting her book ?and that they had already read ?thats a lot of assumptions. is there any news about her being in physical therapy still? Is she retiring?I still can’t get any info. The younger skaters at the rink are intimidated by her. Apparently she asked my friends daughter if she knew where someone was. My friends daughter was like “She knows my NAME” and that was the big excitement at the rink that week.
Someone at a merchandise table (I’m assuming USFS) was handing out cards announcing Gracie’s book. So I’m assuming they’ve read an advance copy or at least know what it contains and that she’s not going to burn them to the ground like (some of us, especially me) hoped.
So no good news at all.
They weren’t at her rink. They were at Skate America promoting her book. I think they would have to be crazy to promote something they haven’t read. But maybe they are crazy. Why would USFS be at her rink promoting her book ?and that they had already read ?thats a lot of assumptions. is there any news about her being in physical therapy still? Thanks for clarifying, yes it does seem they wouldn’t promote her book if it trashed them. They weren’t at her rink. They were at Skate America promoting her book. I think they would have to be crazy to promote something they haven’t read. But maybe they are crazy.
I tried to get info on the PT but as I said the young skater who trains at that rink is too intimidated to speak to her. So the best info I have at this time is that she is currently still in CS and has been since at least August. She is either doing PT or training. She is still on the ISP list but has not qualified to Nationals. She is scheduled to skate at Scott Hamilton’s benefit show next month. That is all I know.
If Gracie wants to keep working in the sport, she will not trash in that way. More likely she will focus on the intense pressures and image problems, and what it does to young women. At least, I hope she goes into this, it hopefully helped her to write it and may help others to read it.Thanks for clarifying, yes it does seem they wouldn’t promote her book if it trashed them.
