(For Langton's sake, I just hope that such confusion is rare.)

I was amused for the reason explained by CSG above.
Latching on to Knoxville as a name to drop, as s_f did, is a dubious way to promote the social status of an ice princess, IMHO (even if JK really had been photographed with GG). Knoxville is a far cry from A-list.

Not Indycar per se, but definitely motorsport. I'm a bit sleepy this morning because I was up watching Monaco last night; I definitely needed to sleep through the 500. (Seems no-one read the script enough to make sure there were Aussie wins everywhere to pay tribute to Sir Jack.)

My father is huge into NASCAR and so on, and I grew up knowing that Mario was the King.


EDIT:

:laugh: Since she was spotted hanging out with The King, maybe he's going to get her a drive? ;)

(I bet she'd be faster than Danica Patrick. *gloom*)

I grew up in NASCAR country; lived just down the road from Junior Johnson and used to be able to hear the races from the Wilkesboro track at my house before they ended the races there. Then I married someone from Indianapolis. Living in Austin, I've tried to learn a little about F1 since it comes through here now but I can't say I'm an expert there by any means.

Gracie was in the 500 festival parade on Saturday along with the other two Sochi Olympians, and then rode in the IndyCar two-seater with Mario to kick off the race. I guess maybe all the Olympians got the hookup through their agency or something? Anyway.
 
She was also in two red carpet events associated with the 500.

My husband and I were watching the 500, because NASCAR's Kurt Busch was racing, trying to do the 500 and the NASCAR Coke 600 in the same day. He finished sixth at Indy in his first ever race there. He had engine failure at the Coke 600.

Oh lawdy, Gracie with Marco is not something I want to see. He's too old for her and clearly thinks of himself as such a playboy, despite not being that great a racer! Lucca is too young for Gracie (at least for the next several years). John's son Jarrett is the right age though.

(LOL, can't believe I'm seriously thinking about this!)
 
We did see the video of her from Glacier Falls in early August. That's about it other than hearing what her programs are.

She is entered in Nebelhorn at the end of the month.
