Wow :luv17: Well done! She looks so beautiful!Gracie debuted a new exhibition at the Nationals gala and I LOVE it! http://youtu.be/DOfT3lwwet0
This is the most expressive I've ever seen her! And how fitting is that song? Perfection. :hap85:

It really makes me respect her a lot more. Go Gracie!

I just came upon this article about Gracie by Helene Elliott of the L.A. Time. It says that Frank Carroll was surprised that she wanted to skate at Four Continents!
Sorry if it's already posted somewhere else on GoldenSkate, but I didn't see it anywhere.

I forgot for a moment that Gracie was skating at 4CC, when I was perusing through the scoresheet for SP and not seeing her name in the top 6.
That was quite the unexpected disaster.
Maybe Gracie will get her nerves out at 4CC and skate lights out in Boston.

Maybe Gracie will get her nerves out at 4CC and skate lights out in Boston. We can only hope that happens. I want her to put 2 clean skates out there finally.

Just watched Gracie's skate. First of all, I have to be honest and say that Gracie was never my favorite skater. BUT after reading that interview and realizing that Gracie herself insisted on going to 4CC & not just sitting back and playing it safe (like some other U.S. ladies that chickened out)...I really respect her for not sticking with the "crowd." I also love the fact that she seems to be dropping the "Ice Skating Princess" act. In fact, I love that she picked "El Choclo" for her SP. And as weird as it sounds, I like the fact that she wasn't afraid to not smile. A year or two ago, she would always put on this "fake" smile after a bad skate. I like the fact that she seems to become more comfortable with expressing her real emotions, instead of just "smiling." And to me, that makes her so much more real. Anyway, wising her the best for the LP.![]()
Gracie has really won me over this year - always thought she was a bit dull but lately I've been really rooting for her. Yes, she struggles with consistency, but there is something so fierce and hungry about her. I love that she is going for broke and trying to win outright. The 4CC short was not good - but she didn't give up on her spins or steps, and she looked pissed when that program ended. I think Gracie is sick of losing and I hope that coming back to Boston, where she won her first world title in the most exciting season of her competitive career, will give her the push she needs to deliver in both programs. Fingers crossed that she can redeem herself in the FS here as well!

Yea. Gracie won her first world title in Boston!![]()
