EDIT: I just realized after looking at this again, it wasn't just to support LA2024...it was at a LA Pride Parade....good for Gracie, showing her support at such a tragic moment in time. Heart of Gold! :clap:

She had a similar video on the Flag Day where she was dishonoring the US flag by waving the distorted US flag. That was the reason for me to unfollow her on both FB and Instagram.

I SWEAR, this NEEDS to be a Gracie Gold long program. 7:11, I need a big Rippon Lutz!!! Just crank the music as loud as you can, and BOOM Gracie Gold finally would have a program that is FUN, yet Frank Carroll/Lori Nichol-functional.

I've see some suggestions of music for Ashley and Gracie lately.............makes me glad the choreographers know what they're doing......Skating to Taylor Swift in your long program would be embarrassing for a U.S. lady. As a classical musician, I believe the U.S. ladies (Gracie and Ashley in particular) have a legacy to uphold with their packaging and music choices. They are doing a fantastic job with that right now. I agree that there needs to be variety and different styles presented, but there needs to be solid dignity and refinement throughout.

Gracie is very open in supporting the LGBT community and she is very close with Adam Rippon. She probably did not want your negative attitude (which you have also demonstrated countless times on this forum) following her either.

It's not about the LGBT, it's not about Adam Rippon, but it's about the flag. Especially on the Flag Day, especially with the laughter on her face and especially right after the massacre.
Plus, it was me who unfollowed her. It was my freedom and I took advantage of it.

Yesss, that could really be fun fun fun! Gracie needs a program where she can explode with her emotions u.u and yes, that music at 7:11 is not complete without a rippon lutz :biggrin:

OMG yay I'm so glad you agree!!!! Haha it's fun, sexy and a crowd-pleaser. And it's never been done before. Always prefer new music!!! Yea, just one..MAYBE two Rippons per program, don't want to overdo it (Evgeniaaaa :unsure:). haha

Just listened to this music for the first time today. I really LOVE it and could see Gracie skating to that! :thumbsup:

Yayyy, I'm so glad others are liking it!! This music would give Gracie something to GET INTO.

Gosh a Rippon Lutz at 7:11....and then at 7:39-7:41, a 3S-3T (or Loop, OMG Gracie!) would be glorious!! Someone with Lori's number needs to get on this. HAHAHA :laugh2:

The minute I saw the word "Danzon" , I knew it would be good! Anything with a Spanish "flair" to it seems to suit her. I loved this year's El Choclo - right down to that amazing costume...The suspense to know her programs is killing me!!! Hope Lori has something good up her sleeve for her.

I completely agree with your entire post. :agree:

That is a fantastic piece of music. I can hardly believe it hasn't been used before. Gracie really does well with Latin music; I think it's because the music provides the contrasting emotions, and she can just follow it, since more subtle interpretation IMO isn't her strong suit.

The piano interlude which begins a dreamier tempo and section at 4:11 needs to be part of the program. And also either one of the piccolo interludes. Fabulous! :love:

Agreed, I'd leave subtleties to Wagner. Those piccolo solos are so cute, aren't they?! I need some Sasha Cohen spiral realness at 5:00.

Yeah, I love the piccolo solos. I guess, to get into the detail a bit more, I meant also that the Spanish-style music provides not just contrast, but that immediate snap-switch contrast. Gracie does well with those.

I miss the long spirals. And Sasha's were wow!
 
Any word on Gracie's new programs? I really want to know what they chose, I keep thinking about driving up to the Toyota center to try to spy on a training session and hear some music lol.
