I stay out of the general forum threads about Gracie because of the multiple comments about her weight... Or whether she looks 'fit', which is often just an euphemism for 'thin' or 'skinny'. :noshake:I was just looking for some good news on her but it seems there is still all the negative gossip.

Especially after the recent news about Yulia retiring and the reasons behind that, you'd think that people would think twice before making snarky or invasive comments about skaters' bodies, but nah.hwell:
Anyway, here are a couple of nice recent social media posts featuring Gracie:
from Jason's instagram
from a fan account (apparently a screen cap from Ashley's Instagram live)
You are wise, I know I should also. I just don't get why people are so cruel.
Glad you are back to cheer for Gracie. I was just looking for some good news on her but it seems there is still all the negative gossip. Do you think she is going to make a come back? I can't watch her go through another last season. I hope she is feeling good and happy above anything else!
I think they see things they don't like about themselves and try desperately to project those things onto others. It's how they deflect from dealing with their own shortcomings.
I have no opinion on what Gracie should or shouldn't do....she has a team of professionals to help her achieve what's best for her. Let's not forget the deep level of experience she herself has. Maybe she'll come back and maybe she won't...Ill support the girl no matter what. She's given the sport and its fans so much over the years.
I am however hoping for the best for her.
I don't know what she is going to do, but I will support her no matter what. If she wants to keep skating I will cheer her on and be so excited to see her skate at nationals live. She's been training hard no matter what everyone seems to think, so we'll see what state she is in at her first comp.
Oh that's great that you would get to see her live if she competes. I hope she does whatever is best for her. I know I will miss her skating if she decides to stop but I'm not jumping to that conclusion. I hope her team does what is best for her.
Gracie's GP events aren't until November, correct? Isn't that typically an eternity away in a figure skating season? A lot can happen between now and November and even between November and U.S. Nationals in January.
Kind of riding off this - if I recalled correctly Yuna Kim had to skip the 2013-2014 GP due to a bone bruise which basically stopped her from doing triples right? It's true. Her training plan could be timing her to peak just in time for the season, she doesn't need to be in too form in August.

I am just going to go with Gracie and her team know what they are doing and have a plan. Its hard but I don't think its impossible.
I wish I could give Gracie a hug. I hope she is okay. I'm sad but it's good to know she is getting help and good for her being so open and courageous. Virtual hugs and kind thoughts to her, always.
