Yeah, that's not a bad idea. I think she wanted to see what the 3Z would look like in competition. I'm sure they'll adjust accordingly. She doesn't have any more competitions until Nationals.

I just hope she is okay... she looked so sad in kiss and cry.

yes i can't imagine how nervous she was. she knows all eyes are on her right now. after not being exposed to that in a couple years that had to have been so difficult...she probably felt like she was skating around naked. that will take time to get used to again.

Huge respect to her for getting out there after everything that had happened. I can't imagine how stressful it must have been to perform in front of such a big audience. She did what she had to do to qualify for nationals.

So proud of her for going out there. It could've gone much worse as well, imo; she went into the flip with full speed and though the timing looked a little off to me she held on and went for the triple instead of chickening out, the choreography is really great and I think she connects more to this music than the classical pieces she skated to before. Even though the result isn't what she had hoped for, the pieces are there and this competition might be a good way for her to figure out where she stands mentally and what she needs to do to put them together. Which is not an easy task at all, but she's shown how brave she is and I trust she'll get through this

I'm so happy Gracie is back.
Her performance was disappointing, but hopefully, she will find her groove in time.
I read a few YouTube posts underneath a practice video. People said she was gonna compete with falls and doubles. They were right. ��
That being said, Gracie didnt look miserable on the ice. I don't think she connected with classical music well.

So proud of Gracie for coming back! She has some ways to go, but like she said, she needs to compete again, and just getting herself back on ice and doing those jumps, spins and footwork in a competitive atmosphere was a start. I hope she enjoys her skate tomorrow, and can be proud of herself. I would love to see her in to form competing again.
Or did she? I couldn't tell if she was laughing or crying at that veeeeery low score.

To me, it seemed like she was more embarrassed than devastated. Which is normal, I mean she didn't do very well. Unless Gracie is known to always be that dramatic in the Kiss & Cry, it looked like she was just covering up her face to be funny...she was even mouthing "Just great!"in a sarcastic manner, and it did look like she was laughing about it when I first watched it. But I could be wrong. I hope I am not wrong though. There's nothing she should be devastated about. Sure, it was not a good performance, but I don't think she was expecting to do very well anyway. This was about making sure if she still has it in her to commit to the next 4 years.

I’m so proud of her. She’s overcoming some very mentally and physically draining issues. She’ll be just fine. She looked more “laugh it off” than real upset. She knows she’s not physically where she needs to be and she knows she’s not ready to win yet. That will all come. Winning isn’t the goal right now. It’s getting back out there and taking time getting comfortable again so by the time 2022 comes around, she’ll contend.
