Don’t expect too much. It will be a difficult road. She can conquer it but it will take time.

As long as she'll be at Nationals, I would be very disappointed to go and have her not be there.

yes, i'm really hoping people aren't getting their hopes up too high for her to come back with a 3+3, clean skates, and guns blazing. taking a year off is a big deal, especially when you haven't been training the whole time. this will most likely be a season to get her feet back under her...i'm just afraid many will be really harsh on her and write her off if she doesn't do well right off the bat.

People had better remember what Gracie had to go through already and leave her the time she needs for her comeback without putting any ridiculous expectations on her. This comeback is for HER primarly, sure, her fans are delighted but it‘s her health and her happiness and it should never again suffer because of her own or people‘s too far-fetched expectations. Whatever happens this season, as long as she‘s happy with her progress, people should be, too. Not everything is about medals. Going through what Gracie had to and making a comeback in a highly competitive sport as an elite athlete is something to be proud of already. She‘s strong, no matter what people say or think otherwise. I hope she remembers that. I wish her the best but I don‘t expect anything this season except for a Gracie who is happy and enjoys skating.

In a week she will be travelling to Russia! I am so nervous I don't know if I will be able to watch it live. At least she is still on the entry list at this point. Any info at all how is her training going?

I’ve been looking everywhere. I guess no news is good news and I think if she was going to withdraw she already would have. Really looking forward to seeing her skate again.

I don’t care how early in the morning it may be, I’m setting my alarm to watch Gracie 
Not sure what to expect and certainly not anticipating that she’ll be back at her pre-break level, but I have a feeling I’m going to be thrilled just to see her back in competition regardless of outcome.
(I also really wish I’d bought a competition chat pass, oops...)

I'm pretty sure you can still buy one. I'm on the fence because I like to watch unspoiled and I am not always able (the spirit is strong, the flesh is weak) to watch live. Is she in Russia yet? I'm terrified every day I'm going to open up the forums and see she's withdrawn.

In addition to seeing her skate - I'm also excited to see what her costumes are this year. She always has such beautiful costumes. I am also am enjoying how excited people are just to see her skate again. Trying to keep expectations low, but I would love to be surprised and impressed with how far she has come in her comeback. When is the women's short program???

Agreed about the costumes! I am excited to see everything, costumes, programs. Trying to focus on those things rather than how well she will be jumping. I hope we get some practice reports as well. Gosh I can hardly wait! I am not sure if the ladies short is Thursday or Friday. Somewhere around there though.
