Here is the starting order, the Italian pair is skating now:

There is a Gala thread under Nebelhorn Trophy underforum if you want to join, I just discovered it!

The final spin
Yes, indeed. That's why I give her roses every time I see her.I am so freaking proud of that woman. What an inspiration she is.
Yay! I hope USFS takes note that she is a STAR. Why else would they have asked her to be in the gala after finishing 12th? Because she's a star, that's why.The organizer of Nebelhorn just posted a story on the Instagram where they had a small talk with Gracie after the gala.
They first asked what had changed in her life since she last was at Nebelhorn in 2014.
Gracie: "So many things, had some good years since then, and some very bad years since then, but i´m really happy to have my first international in several years here in Oberstdorf, it was not a very good competition, but the exhibition - gala was clean, so at least I could end with some strong skating, jumps and spins".
Second question: What advice do you have as role model for young female skaters & woman.
Gracie says something about not trying to be perfect and try to speak out, use your voice, take up space - you don´t have to be small and quiet to be a good figure skater.
I´m glad to hear Gracie is happy and that it was a good feeling after the exhibition, she looks happy and engaged in that video. It felt good watching it.
Dave Lease likes Gracie. Thank you for letting me know@moonvine I know you don’t listen/like TSL but I thought I would let you know that they were fairy complimentary of Gracie on their last episode. It seems like they really want her to do well (as we all do). It started at about the 1 hour mark. Also a few weeks ago they were talking about how she is one of the best in the US still, which I thought you would appreciate.

The latest you would probably know would be after Eastern Sectionals which are November 8-12. If she gets Ice Challenge in Austria she would get a bye to Nationals. I would think rosters would be released around mid October. There could be another International but this is the only one listed on USFS website. So, I would say at latest, mid November. I booked A hotel but that’s as far as I got until I see who all makes it and even then it might not matter, it might not be in the budget this year.Does anyone know 100% when we will know if she's going to Nationals? I'm not going if she's not. I understand if she gets another International assignment she gets a bye? It is a lot of money for me to come up with. I'm actually thinking of buying train tickets even though it is 80 hours, because they allow you to cancel and get your money back I don't think the airlines let you do that.
The rules have been changed this year and it’s even more difficult to make Nationals. At each Sectional the top 2 qualify for Nationals and then the next best scores across the nation until they get to the magic number (18) but the magic number includes byes. Currently, Isabeau, Lindsey, Starr, Amber, Gabby Izzo and Audrey Shinn have byes (from Nationals placements last year and/or 3 Internationals). I also assume Bradie will get a bye since one of her GPs is the same week as Sectionals. Technically Karen, Mariah and Alyssa also have byes but currently they don’t seem to be competing this season. So….probably 7 byes plus top 2 from each section (that’s 13) which means the next 5 highest scores across all sections will make it to Nationals. It’s going to be brutal when you consider who will be at the 3 sectionals, Jill, Ting, Ava Ziegler, Gracie, Sonja, Claire Seo, Josephine Lee, Hannah Harrell, Kate Wang, just to name a few. I’m really hoping that they give Gracie a 3rd International but I am not sure. I believe rosters for Ice Challenge are due before SA, so they can’t wait to see how she does there. That whole week will be a nail biter! And if for some reason one or more of Karen, Mariah and Alyssa (yes I realize she’s retired) decide to go to Nationals, it would decrease from those 5 ”extra” qualifiers.i don't know what the rules are regarding competing at SA and a possible bye to nationals, but if she has to compete at sectionals i believe she needs top 4, and sectionals are in November.
wow, that is brutal. i am 99.99% sure we will not see Karen, Mariah (and 100%) Alysa at nationals. i'd be shocked if we did.The rules have been changed this year and it’s even more difficult to make Nationals. Not sure if it could be an indication, but Ting is first substitute at Finlandia Trophy, Sonja nr. 2 and Ava nr 3. It would make much sense, because Ting hasn´t had an International yet, so I think it´s likely she would get one in Austria, she is also first subsitute for Budapest Trophy. Sonja is also substitute for Budapest Trophy, but lower on the list. It doesn´t have to mean anything, because Gracie wasn´t substitute before Nebelhorn, but we also know that she was busy the other weekends. Based on her recent performance, maybe Sonja will get a second Challenger.wow, that is brutal. i am 99.99% sure we will not see Karen, Mariah (and 100%) Alysa at nationals. i'd be shocked if we did.
so just competing at SA will not get her a bye to nationals and she will need to skate in another challenger?
i'm also assuming Jill, Ting, Ava, Sonja, Clare, Josephine, Hanna and Kate will have to skate at sectionals? that means they have the same odds as Gracie as qualifying via top 2 in their section. i have no idea which of them will be competing against each other at sectionals or which sectionals they'll each be competing at, but even if all of them make it via that route, that means there are still 5 spots available (not counting Mariah, Alysa and Karen). i think this is very doable for Gracie.
