, most hatred is directed at her physical features calling her fake and someone had the nerve to say she should star in Nazi movies because she is a supposed racist

I guess me? She's pretty and all...but definitely not intimidated by it.
And let's just say my non-skating fans are not exactly posting Facebook posts about Gracie Gold because of her looks. (That award goes to Tanith Belbin....)
I think people are moreat your insistence of her beauty, sky, rather than intimidated by her. If you are trying to get people off her side/bandwagon/fan train, you are doing a marvelous job...
You do a better job at being her cheerleader, mskater93.

@sky_fly20, Yeah, Gracie is pretty, but she's sort of generic. I'll have you know, during the Olympics on Twitter, some people I know were tweeting about how pretty Ashley is, but guess how many people tweeted about Gracie's "Hollywood like beauty"? None. How on earth is Gracie's beauty a bonus to her skating abilities? Unless you think that her "Hollywood like beauty" is giving her some sort of an edge over the field...

Olympic scoring is a complete, utter farce. She scored 129 with a perfect skate in the team event, and after Frank Carroll/USFSA likely whined about her PCS marks compared to Julia in the team event, she magically got 6.5 points higher PCS and 136 points for a FS with a fall. There's no other explanation how a skater can get such a PCS boost for a performance with a fall, compared to a clean performance.
While she could definitely score 70+ in her SP in the next few season, it would be incredibly difficult for her to score above 140, without the inflated scoring that we saw at the Olympics.
Also, where does Julia fit into your picture if you say the gold is between Gracie and Mao? Gracie has yet to skate a clean SP+LP -- EVER. Julia has done that numerous times.

I think with 2 clean programs she will medal. If Julia performs to her potential she will be ahead of Gold, barely. And if Mao or Kostner perform to their potential, even with a minor error, they should still beat Gold. There are other skaters who had bad Olympics but good performances this year who could redeem themselves like Suzuki and Murakami.

How about...she was underscored in the team event in PCS, and after the team competition was over, people realized it? It was positively ridiculous that her 7-triple clean FS didn't break 130 in the team.
The fall in the individual event wasn't especially disruptive and overall I think her performance in the individual was better than that in the team.
She had pretty much the same mistake at Nationals, and it really was a minor interruption in what was an exciting performance. The Olympics performance in the individual event wasn't nearly as good as Nationals, but it was still quite good. Most of her jump landings in the individual FS were better than the team, minus the flip of course.
She's perfectly capable of breaking 140 again under the current rules, but we'll have to see how the rules change for the next quad before predicting how she does.

I also think she should have scored just above 130 in the team (with PCS of about 64 instead of 61.89), but her PCS doesn't even deserve to be 65 points at this point, let alone 68.33 with a fall.
Oh well, with post-Olympics scoring all scores will come back down to earth. She certainly won't be scoring 136 points with a fall any time soon.

Ashley score at Olympics was about right with her double footing , ur, edge, however if did what did to Russian skaters. she was underscored.
I think polina short was a bit underscored should have a 63-65.
why bother, they only overlook mistakes they want up on top. win
they didn't over look gracie edge call, like they should have with adelina, Julia. and yuna ur on her triple triple. but hey she didn't win so lets file a complaint. she should have won. (nope she skated like michelle in 1998)
