How will USFSA promote its 4 most talented ladies?

For Skate America, the US usually asks the Nationals medalwinners in order. That would be Mirai, Rachael and Ashley. Caroline and Kimmie, as GPF competitors, are sure to receive invitations from other federations. Emily will likely receive inviations also, if she wants to compete in the GP next season (if not, then the USFS won't submit her name).

I liked the ISU system of placing the Worlds podium singles and couples in each of the disciplines of the GPs. It's simple and correct way to assign or allow a choice by the winners. What follows is a scramble for certain venues by other skaters. Federations have to select in the interest of financial gains for their competition.

How all this is promoted is up to the Federation holding the event. They have to make it a success. The ISU did the right thing.

If one likes skaters who are not part of big federations it is nice to have Kim, Lambiel and the german team around.
