So he’s 7 points out of 3rd. That’s honestly not that bad. Certainly doable. But he’ll have to be on his A-game tomorrow.
I think he should change his short program. And I'm putting it out there. Next season, Kevin Aymoz should choreograph his short program, I think it would help rise his pc's. Ilia does feel the music, he just hasn't been given the best vehicle to show it.Woohoo! Bronze for Ilia! Sure, we were all hoping he got gold, but I'm happy he medaled! I had to rewind back on the Peacock live feed cause I was asleep during it, but it was amazing! What redemption!
I feel like he does need to do a different SP, cause it doesn't seem to be working in his favor.
Which is why I keep saying the Halo theme song. Lol. It could work.I think he should change his short program. And I'm putting it out there. Someone thankfully sent me this in a pm and said I could post it. They aren't sharing their name but hope this helps, since I couldn't begin to answer your question.I'm curious about Ilia's injury. They said that they removed the lutzes because it's the left foot giving him pain. But he did the 4A which takes off from the left foot, he did both the 4T and 4S both of which take off from the left also. And he also did the 4F which takes off from the right like the 4 lutz....so i'm curious if anyone can tell me why he might make this choice?
Thank you VERY much! I’m surprised I didn’t think of that …. 🤦♂️🤷♂️😂Someone thankfully sent me this in a pm and said I could post it. They aren't sharing their name but hope this helps, since I couldn't begin to answer your question.
quote below:
Here's his 4A. He takes off on the outside edge of his left foot. The ankle does not flex at all. His knee powers the jump.

His quad Lutz is shown in slow mo in this vid. Ilia is the second guy analyzed. You can see the sideways flex of the ankle and the force being exerted on it.
