Is there any skater that EVERYBODY loves?

I don't think there will ever be a skater who is universally loved, some find them boring, or fake or whatever, but I think there are skaters that are universally respected. You can respect them, and their ability and talent without loving them. And I mean respect them personally, as well as respect their ability and talent.

Personally, I would put G&G into this category, even before his death. Myself, I absolutely adore them and no one has come close in my eyes.

I would also put Virtue and Moir. They are also quite good.

Michelle Kwan is another.

Kristi Yamaguchi.

Kurt Browning.

God no. I dont mind her that much, she seems like a decent kid who works hard at her skating, but I could not say I like her. Her skating is mostly unappealing to me and I dont really enjoy much about it, she is overhyped by the U.S networks that cover skating which irritates me somewhat, and her constant reference to her combining skating education as if that sets her apart from anyone else is also annoying.

I have to agree with you Slutskayafan21. I especially loved her haughty "Yes, I am aware!" when a reporter asked her if she knew she was close to winning the 2007 US championship. She sounded as if she thought she should have won it, which bothered me a bit.

it was a dumb question on the reporter's part. It's like 'duh, I can read.' I don't think it had anything to do with her thinking she'd win.

She said she was quite snobby. Tara Lipinski was also a brat and Phillipe Candeloro tried to take her to his hotel room.

^ Just don't ask Gilbert Fuchs. Fuchs, the first world figure skating champion (1896) thought he wuzrobbed by Salchow at the 1901 world championship in Stockholm. In those days the host country provided all the judges.

Five years later, worlds was in Munich (in Fuch's home country), and Salchow refused to participate, knowing that he would face a panel of German/Austrian judges.

At the 1908 Olympics, it was Fuch's turn to stay home. Even though it was in London, he knew that the Salchow forces had stacked the judging panel again.

BTW, if Salchow had skated in 1906, even if he had finished second or third, he would have been able to beat Michelle Kwan's achievement of 9 straight podium finishes (in fact, he would have had 13).

You mean, you haven't heard anything truly negative about them yet IMO, when you do start hearing negative things about them, it will be a sign that they have moved to the "big leagues".

Never have I heard anyone in my whole life call Kristie Yamaguchi either annoying, untalented, boring, etc.. etc.

Only compliments flow in her direction

She truly is the skater that everyone loves or at least that everyone fears criticizing.
