Anna. Pretty dress. Good spins and a good skate.
Anna SANNIKOVA KAZ - I kinda like her. She is a gutsy jumper, hears and moves well to her music. Coordinated to do a lot of steps in both directions. I look forward to her free. Coached by Denis Ten's mother.

I'm just catching up on this. The Vietnamese lass is a beautiful skater. Just think how good she could be without such an adverse training environment...

I can't believe Leandra is only 15, she seems much older.

Well ... she had a LOT of her makeup on her face. It became much more clear in the K'n'C, I was like - oh wow and getting flashbacks to watching some ballroom dancing competition in person once as a kid. Most skaters use some makeup (including men) but she brought her A game today in this aspect. 😀

I'm probably going to upset some people by saying this, but I'm not entirely surprised that Leandra would wear a lot of makeup. She has Greek heritage, and a lot of Greek ladies (especially the ones you see on TV) have a tendency to wear far too much make-up.

I don't know how that tendency developed, but it is a shame. Because I often think "you are actually very pretty, but we can't see it because you are wearing so much war paint!"

Leandra is a pretty young girl. She doesn't need the make-up.

Oh I think she was happy, she just doesn't show much emotion usually. She's always like that, no matter what score she get, and in China she's famous for this, we call her "cold face queen".
Good to know.

I am catching up, and it looked worse from Shin than I expected. I dunno if it opens a door a crack for Goidina and Gladki for the final, but there is still the FS and with 7 events it's usually 1st place winners who grab the spots

Amazing spins by Wang, probably my favorite bit of the event. I hope that FS will be stronger for junior women.

Congrats to Yihan Wang!
As I mentioned in the Chinese National thread, the Chinese Junior skaters are phenomenal. Yihan was their best skater at the domestic events. She needs top 4 to secure a second spot here. She didn’t put a foot wrong at the domestic events, so I expect her to medal here. I predict she will be at the JGP finals this season.

Also, I just love Yo Takagi. To me, she should get the highest PCS scores. Everytime she skates, I see her as a Senior Lady skating at a Junior event. Lovely skater from Japan.
