Hi everyone!
I wanted to see if anyone was having quality issues with Jackson boots, specially newer ones with the recent changes they've been making to their models.
For some context, about two months ago I got a pair of Jackson Supreme 5385. I was previously on Synergy 6075 and I did enjoy those, so I wanted to get the same boot but Jackson wouldn't be able to get those to me until October/November. Since I could not wait that long because my Synergys were practically dead, I decided to get the Supremes instead.
The Supremes have felt off since the first time I wore them, they have felt really flimsy, specially around the ankles and tying these skates has been a nightmare, I can never get them to feel comfortable and stable on the ice. Also, the tongue on these skates is extremely thin compared to all other Jackson skates I've had before. Mind you these are my fourth pair of Jacksons and they've got the highest rating of support Jackson offers, but none of the previous skates had felt like this low of a quality.
To be honest, I do think I have broken down the Supremes, the ankle bend on them is getting really deep, the pinching on the sides is starting to become noticeable, they are hurting in places where they didn't hurt before and I'm struggling to do things that I usually don't struggle with, which are all the signs I usually get when my skates are dying.
It goes without saying but I feel like 2 months is absolutely ridiculous to be breaking down these boots, specially because of the support rating they have and their price tag.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them recently?
