OK, Jason’s in LA and nicely dressed for what I’m thinking is the rehearsal dinner.

Please tell me he didn’t grease the curls:sad21::sad21::slink:
 
I'm wondering what it will look like while he's skating. It's so curly he'll have to put product in it to avoid looking scared all the time. I'm also trying my new avatar out with this post. Tavi - I love yours. My Siamese got outside last night and got skunked!!! Suffice to say there will be major cleanup around this house today including all my bedding and anywhere else he's been.
 
Fantastic haircut. I want to see a picture of the back or a profile. Most of all, what does it look like on the ice?

Skunked, yikes! No fun. :shocked: Glad you like the avatar- that’s my gone but not forgotten kitty Elijah. He was wonderful but a piece of work.

Back on topic, I think poor El is gonna have to be resigned to the use of product in Jason’s hair during comps, as in the most recent pictures. Based on that rink photo with Henry M, it looks like it would just poof up too much if left alone. And since he’s got a long face and the sides (and presumably back) are pretty close shaven, it wouldn’t be the most flattering look - kind of like a mushroom. :slink:. We’ll see what he does, but I’d actually like to see how it looks if he draws a few of the curls down on his forehead - it might balance his face shape a bit better and draw focus to his eyes, which are really pretty. :)

In other news, Zhenya apparently said in Instagram comments that she’s not going to Nepela, which means Jason’s not, either. Since he can’t do Finlandia, that pretty much means they’ll both be at ACI. I guess we’ll find out in a few days. And then I’ll have to see whether I can make it work to attend! (I have tix but work may interfere).

But my zeal is from experience; my curls are less curly than Jason's, and I once slicked them back all. the. time. So I am like a reformed smoker.

Those prewedding photos are too cute. I know Grant said that Tarah and Jason are in the wedding party, but do we actually think he's the best man?
 
Someone bought them a roomba. Maybe for kitten Daisy to take a ride down the aisle?

Hope we get to see Jason in some of the wedding photos.
 
The photo Jason posted with him and the flower girls is so adorable! Cute flower girls! Jason looks nice too.;)

Also I’m feeling old and sentimental cause my own wedding anniversary is coming up next month and my flower girls — my nieces— just started high school. (They just started kindergarten when I got married.) :shocked:

Grant specified that his only requirement was an old and pretty (Roman) Catholic church. I don't know LA but I imagine there is more than one that fits the description.;)

He does look nice, but perhaps more different there than anything we’ve seen yet. Not like a guy who recently competed in a manbun, ya know?

I really like the last night pink shirt on him.

Both him and Caroline are Catholic, so it’s more than about a pretty place to get married.:) he posted his engagement encounter book on twitter, which again brought back memories cause I had to do the same retreat lol.

Are you missing the man bun? You've mentioned it a lot lately. :)

It's cool that he's exploring different styles and I don't think it's an affront to his natural curls that he's opting to straighten it for one look. I like it with the tux, it makes it look super sleek and cool.

I did like the manbun bc it’s kinda artsy and all, but I actually do like the new cut a lot - I think he looks great! And I actually think he looks really good in the tux and straight hair. It’s just so different from his usual casual and athletic style - so...traditional. And he’s fulfilling an adult role - best man - and he looks so adult. Make sense?

Jason's been looking good / handsome / fine / hot in all the photos lately but my favorite is pink shirt Jason. So much so that I've decided to change my avatar from the Alphonse Mucha print to it (at least temporarily). :biggrin:
 
@katmari, the new avatar is perfect. Along with the hearts even:laugh:

And one of Jason's IG stories said he has custody of the rings, so maybe he was indeed the best man? Selfishly I hope that Caroline and Grant release some of the wedding photos .... after all, isn't that why you pay a photographer?;)
