Jason's last 4 years have been formative. He's grown up to be an incredible person with amazing skills and gifts. This is a hard earned Olympics and it will be all the better for that! All three of the US Men's team have learned a lot, fought hard and will bring it! I am excited to see what they do!

Yay! So glad to know that Tracy, Jason and Rohene have been working together and all are healthy!
Okay you guys, wanna know something funny? I had my very first adult learn to skate class at this rink, about 5 years ago.
On my first night, the skate shop insisted on putting me in rental skates the same size as my street shoes (little did I know then that you usually wear skates at least a whole size smaller than your street shoe size). I had hardly ever been on the ice before, and that first night I fell four times.
None of the other beginners fell as many times as I did, and the teacher kind of laughed at me. I know she thought I was supremely untalented. Another rink nearer to my house opened soon after I took that class, so I started taking classes there instead and bought my own skates in the right size. Fast forward a couple of years and my first instructor came to teach at my new rink. She was shocked at my progress.
ETA @el henry, the rink is quite close to HP. Maybe a 15 minute drive.

Can’t tell you how good it was to see that footage, and actually to see Tracy too! I was concerned about continuing to test positive - though I believe Beijing have lowered their threshold which means less chance of those who have had covid but still have antibodies testing positive.
Also super glad to see Jason in a mask. I don’t think I’ll be able to breathe/relax until he’s completed both his skates in Beijing
It looks like the other US skaters are prepping to fly out soon, so I guess it made sense to stay in the US?

It had occurred to me that it probably made the most sense for Tracy and Jason to go to Chicago after Nats and work there with Rohene as well. It solved her quarantine issues and his trying to get back into Canada, and they can travel on the Team USA Plane or fly out of Chicago to Paris and on to Beijing. I don't know where the Team plane will be departing from. They showed photos but there was no location. It's being flown by Delta. I was happy to see the photos he posted on Instagram and grateful for the Twitter feed as well. Thanks for posting! Hoping this Olympics goes smoothly and that the athletes have fun if possible.

Ashley Cain reported that Team USA Processing is in LA. They register and then train in a bubble. I assume the plane leaves from there. I think they might be there for a week. It fits in with Jason's thank you post. They must be on their way to LA.
