Still head shaking that there hasn't been a single "official" comment about this, to the point that people in the Instagram comments are still wondering about a coaching change, but oh well. I do think a brief tweet by Jason or someone like Lynn Rutherford for Ice Network would have been appropriate, but I guess I'm just a control freak! ;)

I agree, but I have a feeling we will get an Icenetwork piece on Jason before the real start of the season: lots of interest with the comeback, Frank, the ICE etc. If they're not planning to write one, they should!
 
Good grief, you guys. Why does it matter so much what Jason does or doesn't tweet? It is his business and his prerogative.

That's a great picture - olden movie star style.:) I also couldn't help wonder - does that give an idea of how Jason would look with short hair? (I know, maybe not, as his hair is quite bushy - but the thought just popped into my head when I saw the picture.)

ETA - Also, the darkness under his eyes almost gives an impression of eyeliner. Pirate progam for Jason?

No, his hair is too unruly...I would think it would look more like Max's did, that season he grew it long and it was a mess of pretty curls. Except that Jason's hair would probably be wavier, less curly, and more frizzy...

It is a beautiful photo, though. I had a look through Carly's photography instagram and she takes wonderful pictures. Of course, when you have a sister who looks like a queen out of fairytales I imagine it would give you a lot of practice!

I was most impressed by one of the topless photos of Jason, however. He was the last of my Golden Trio to really shed his little-boy looks and turn into a man, and so he has done. That is some impressive gym work he has put in. Stubble and muscle and a dark shirt...ah, where did the days go, that the leggy little boys with oversized limbs and innocent faces turned into such handsome, serious young men with all their joys and sorrows in their eyes...? He was but fifteen the first time I watched him, fifteen, and so scrawny, so little... *karne wanders off into emotional reflection*
 
I also noticed the eyeliner-ish look but perhaps it's just shadow. His eyes are quite almond shaped - it's really noticeable in this still:

I also thought about how he might look in short hair. Karne is likely right, but if he went to a really fancy schmancy hair salon that specializes in curly hair (which I'm sure they have in LA) they could probably cut it to bring out the curl and minimize the frizz. It does look like he's got it shorter, anyway - there's less pony tail I think.

Maybe he's slowly working his way towards shorter hair? Saving us all from the sudden shock of the pony tail being gone.;) If he does cut it short eventually, he should skate a Samson & Delilah program.:)

Yes, I agree that frizziness need not be a problem. I can actually think of about five different treatments and as many products that would really help to get his hair under control (I've been translating stuff for a website/webshop for hair professionals all spring and summer, and I've learned a LOT about styling hair :laugh:). The best ones are expensive, but they can last up to 3 months. Add enough good quality wax, and he could have really nice, shiny and defined curls on top and cut the neck quite short. They can perform miracles with product these days.

I've always been against chopping off the old pony, in case he looked really weird or something, but now I actually think of it I don't think it would be a bad thing. It would suit his current, more mature...err muscular look.
 
He has very interesting looks which seem to change a lot depending on the lighting, the angle he's shot from, and his mood. I guess that's true for all of us to some degree, but if you compare the way he looks in the Carly pictures against, for example, the still from his TCC SP linked in post #6113 above, the difference is quite striking.

Maybe while he is in the area, he could check out whatever salon Gracie goes to. Something tells me her salon is quite $$$. She probably gets a lot of foils when she gets highlights.

I came of age in the 70s, and I adore a man with long hair, so whether he still strangles the curls or lets them go, I hope he keeps them ... but I think we may indeed be seeing a transitioning Jason.

And I do wish I knew exactly what he was working on with Frank Carroll and how it was progressing and why he was there, and hey, does Gracie feel more confident and composed around Jason, or not? And traditionally, with Jason, we have learned at least some of that from his Twitter. And that has zippity-doo-dah to do with Jason's privacy, Jason's tweeting whatever he darn well wants to tweet, or expecting Jason to conform to anyone's expectations (except for beautiful programs). It has to do with, this is how we used to get information, and now we are not.

Ain't nothin' wrong with wanting information, and ain't nothin' wrong with wondering where the one source of information went and why. But we can all agree: Mrs. P. needs to start that article real soon now:laugh:

Did we, though? I'm trying to think of a time where Jason actually directly told people on Twitter or Instagram what he was up to. We'd see tweets or pictures about where he was or who he was with but not much about the what or the why, as far as I can remember.

And we DID get the information. TSL reported he's been working with Frank and that Kori will be joining him before Glacier Falls. Once they did, why should Jason or Kori give us any more info than that?
