I'll ignore the score, but for reference his personal best TES internationally is 45.98.
Anyway, he's looking good for this time in the season. I agree the opening choreo gives room for a 4T-3T in lieu of the 3F-3T. In any case a far improvement from last year's Glacier FALLS.![]()
Ah Mrs P, you can't totally ignore it because you'll need to put it in the US men's score tracker, no?
Seriously, tho, he must have gotten a lot of +GOE because his base value and levels have to be fairly close to what he got a TEB. What's interesting to me is whether this score, like his score at TCC, just resulted from a bunch of score-happy US judges, or if it will translate to some degree at the international level. His SP score at TCC was pretty close to his PB, and this performance was definitely much better than TCC or TEB for that matter. So I think he deserves higher score PCS and GOE than he's gotten before. The question is how high. And that, I think, will depend in part on how much general score inflation carries over from last season.
What's also really interesting is that he scored about the same here as Hanyu did at TEB:

Hanyu was not yet a World or Olympic champion, his program had one 4T, and his BV wasn't huge - 42-43. I guess given the overall score inflation this past season, I'm curious as to what he would receive if he skated that same program in the same way today.
