... I think Agnes Zawadski was invited to photo shoots as the reigning bronze medalist, but Ross Miner didn't even though he was the silver medalist. ....
Ross Miner was invited to the NBC promotional shoot in Spring 2013. As was
Christina Gao.
Which means also that they are included in NBC "themed" pre-Sochi fluff pieces. Random examples that stick in my mind: Ross was in
one about quad jumps (3:03) [along with Max and Evan]; Christina [along with athletes from other winter sports] is in a
fun one about nicknames.
[Ross and Christina both were assigned to
2013 Nepela (Oct 3 - 5), and did not attend the
USOC media summit (Sep 29 - Oct 2).
Always has seemed within the realm of possibility to me that maybe one or both of them had received an invitation to the media summit, but had to turn it down?? ]
As for Agnes, correct that she attended both the NBC shoot and the USOC media summit :agree:.
(e.g., she had a starring role in NBC's
12 Days of Sochi music video (2:32), which was one of my favorites. Max and Jeremy also were in that one, IIRC.)
ETA:
I have added the link to the 12 Days video. Re-watched to refresh my memory, and it included even more skaters than I remembered (mixed in with athletes from other sports). Along with Agnes/Max/Jeremy: Gracie; Ashley; Davis/White; Shibs; Castelli/Shnapir; Denney/Coughlin, and I hope I'm not forgetting anyone.
Another random one: Ross is in NBC's (very wholesome

)
"Fun With Mannequins" video, as are Max, Agnes, Davis/White, etc.
BTW, NBC has started posting pre-2018 themed fluff pieces, although off the top of my head, I do not remember whether Jason has been in any so far.
.... I think on the whole they invited way more skaters this time around. ....
:agree:
From "the apple does not fall far from the tree" department, I love how Jason's father kinda steals the show

in the group photo below. No wonder Jason often is a goofball

too.
