Jason Brown

Thanks for posting, DinkyD, but I’ll be the one to say it:

The AirForce has a rink???

Hockey, my dear el henry, hockey.

If they did not have a rink, how could they play Army

Or Coast Guard?

Navy finally even has an intercollegiate team.

That explains it; if “Canoe U.” didn’t have a hockey team, how could I expect the other Academies to have one:laugh:

I suspect Jason is training in Fla. by now, so no more tour of the Colorado rinks.....

Just an FYI that Ashley put up a story with a very brief glimpse of the men at SOI rehearsals, including Jason. Not much to look at, but it's a reminder to me that I may have to start re-following some SOI skaters. ;)

Go Navy! :) I've been to that rink in Annapolis and have to admit that the AF facility is much nicer.

ETA: The shibsibs provide a pretty good view of Jason’s hair on their story where they’re signing posters. ;)

I was just coming here to post about the ShibSibs IG story:laugh:

Man bun looks very tiny and small to me, but my eyes may deceive me;)

For those of us who will not be able to see Jason skate in person, the Orlando show will be recorded for broadcast per this 3/31 tweet from Stars on Ice:

One week from today, our Orlando show at @AmwayCenter will be recorded for broadcast, and highlights will air on @NBCSN on Saturday, 4/14, from 12:30-1:30pm Eastern. Tune in! #SOI18 #starsonice

 :hap57:

For those who will be attending, the broadcast will give you a sneak preview of what to expect.

heheheh;)

although I have no idea what "Can't Stop the Feeling" is....

ETA: Google says it's Justin Timberlake. Did he sing it at the Super Bowl Half Time show? Not that I remember one note of anything he sang, I was too nervous:biggrin:

As Max and friends showed in summer 2016, it is well suited for exuberant/soulful dancing :dance2::

Timberlake performed it at 2017 Oscars as well as 2018 Super Bowl.

Yes, I was there in person. He was taking it easy, just working on sections of the routines.

Thanks for the reporting, DinkyD :thank:.

.... Tarah is at Disneyworld with BFFs Grant and Caroline ...

Off topic, but Tarah and G/C actually were at Disneyland in California (as opposed to Disney World in Florida).

Just an FYI that Jason was prominently featured in a IG Live that Zach Donohoe did about 30 minutes ago. Zach said Jason was skating when Can't Stop the Feeling was playing, so I guess there's no question about that being a solo number. I was kind of hoping it would be a group thing. Zack also caught him filming something where he was talking about inspirational people and he mentioned his "first coach", Kori Ade. Don't know if there's anything to be read that "first" or not. Anyway, check it out. There was lots of Jason and it was cute.

Great catch, and I tend to agree about the reference to Kori. I parse words too much, but "first coach"? That would be like me calling spousal unit my "first husband" , it sets off alarms.

Then again, I was convinced the pony was gone, so my powers of deduction are not so good.

A poster on FSU reports in their SOI thread that she saw Jason in Ft. Myers and he “brought the house down” with his program to “Can’t Stop the Feeling”. And he did (probably the show) version of Hamilton.

So now we know for sure;)

People are weird!

Are you talking about the shirts? I'm not sure I'm in love with them, at least the ones that say the Power of the Pony:confused:

But if I can spring for "Jazz at the Rock" t-shirts tonight, while sitting through nine, count 'em, nine high school jazz bands playing 20 minute sets each (with the middle school bands playing during set ups:eek:), maybe "The power of the pony" isn't so bad?

A little of Can't Stop the Feeling:

I saw a tweet from Jason's fan club that the number was choreographed by Jeff Buttle, but I've seen no independent confirmation. I wonder if there will be more Jason/Jeff choreography collaborations in the future.

But now that they're selling "power of the pony" shirts, I guess he has to keep it. ;)

These products must be the end result of the merchandise deal Jason signed last fall. I do like the split jump logo.

Scott Hamilton tweeted that there is a good chance some of the skaters will be coming to Nashville but nothing will be announced until next month. Hmmm.

@katmari thx for the clip - it’s so darn short it makes me want more! And since the knee slide is something Rohene has given Jason a few times, it’s hard to tell what’s “Buttle-ish” about it - hopefully we’ll see more soon. It would be great to see JB do a FS for Jason.

I think Jason looks really good from the little bit we’ve seen - really nice flow on the ice and his movement is so distinctive that you can usually pick him out even in the group numbers. I wonder if that’s Frank’s influence? I wish there were more clips of him, but mostly people seem to be posting Adam, Nathan, Meryl&Charlie, and group stuff. Oh well

@mintx, I’m guessing the announcement will probably be about which of these skaters will join the cast of the Scott Cares benefit in Nashville next November. I’d love to be wrong and find out it’s about Jason - but Scott mentioned something about the last two years, so....We’ll see, though!
