Jason Brown

So this is a clip of Yuzuru from his media day, but you can see a little bit of Jason in the background, taking off for a jump or two:

Here's another clip where you see Jason right behind Yuzu... https://www.instagram.com/p/BnIBn3SDeTh/?hl=en&taken-by=team_orser

There's everything wrong with Jason fans wanting those worthless fleas at TSL to steal the information and leak it before Jason wants to announce it.

Well Zhenya's music was revealed by a skater at ScotiaBank. Jason's avoided all those folks. He must skate his free skates in silence and just plays the music in his head.

I am thinking his instagram story may have given us his Free

he is appears to be going to see a musical called "Come From Away" while holding a "program" to quote wiki

It is set in the week following the September 11 attacks and tells the true story of what transpired when 38 planes were ordered to land unexpectedly in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador, as part of Operation Yellow Ribbon.

Seems possibly the perfect vehicle for ultra American patriot gone to Canada.

EDIT: and this could explain the silence. Maybe he wants to announce it on 9/11... about a week prior to the debut.

Interesting thought. He’s posted about this show before, not too long after arriving at TCC, and I think it was in an IG Story. Anyway, I believe it showed the outside of the theater where it was playing and the assumption was that he had gone to see it.

I love Come From Away, but I'm not really sure what he could skate to...the songs all flow into one another and there aren't really any stand alone songs that would make any sense out of context. Unless he want to skate to a song about becoming the first female commercial pilot, or becoming a Newfoundlander. I think he just saw the show tonight; when he posted on Instagram last time it was in the context that the theater was going to have the touring company of Dear Evan Hansen coming in next year.

But who knows, he made Hamilton work. lol

Yay for Jason making it into the frame! What kind of jump is that?

You mean the one around 30 seconds? I was trying to figure that out myself but it was really hard to see it clearly. It looked a bit effortful, especially compared to Hanyu, whose jumps just seem light as a feather. :) I always embarrass myself when I try to identify jumps in situations like this, but I’m wondering if it was a 4S attempt - it was hard to tell if he landed it. Maybe Karne or someone else more knowledgeable than I am will weigh in.

Stitch that’s a good guess about the musical. It’s won a ton of awards so it wouldn’t be surprising but...I was really hoping for no musical this season. I don’t know the music though, it could be beautiful.

Am I the only one who who thinks he looks really different in that video? It may just be the day, but the back of his head and his shoulders look very square- almost like a football player.

Well after squinting, it does appear to be a 4S attempt, it looks landed forward and like he fell, but hey at least he is training it openly.

It also looks like he might be keeping his arms lower. I seem to recall reading that Nathan jumps like that to keep himself smaller basically... might be a change.

well, am I impressed by everyone finding glimpses of Jason and identifying jumps! Not that I could do it if it were a full size documentary

I am hoping for something a little less contemporary than another musical .... I think he really he is just a musical fan, hence the Playbill.

And I am so bored in the absence of real news, that I learned today that Toronto is 450 miles from Bethlehem. As in a 7 hour drive (well, there's the border and Toronto traffic. But before that, lovely northeastern PA and upstate NY, no traffic there)

Hmmmmm:biggrin:

It looks like a 4S<<. That's okay. I'm just pleased to see he's healthy enough to attempt them. It will come.

It shows he is physically and mentally healthy enough to attempt it. I doubt he had to be practicing it while Hanyu's fan club was filming, but clearly he feels comfortable trying it with the media circus. I think that shows a good state of mental health regarding the quad as well. In the words of Ashley Wagner it is less of a big scary monster.

Maybe he's skating to the Sound of Silence. Literally.

Sorry, feeling silly again…

:slink:

Or John Cage's 4'33"? (trimmed down, of course, now that the men's free is only 4 minutes...but at least we won't all be complaining about bad music cuts...)

I want this, I want it sooooooooo much..... and if someone wants contemporary, there are quite a lot of different versions, acapella, death metal, beatbox, jazz...

That's an interesting point.

Anyway, I'm glad to see he gets to hang with the family before the season goes in full swing. His first competition of the season is just three weeks away!
