Maybe Botany Jin would have come to TCC to train:laugh: Still missing that Boyang is not at TCC. As well as the two summer comps and two Challengers that Jason used to do.

Change is good, they say, but I’ve never been a huge fan:biggrin:

And for those not named Tavi ;), there's a live stream! With Ted Barton! I can't wait to hear Ted commentate on Jason, I don't think I've heard any commentary during any of his performances. Jason's JGP days were well before the more slick production/Ted commentary. :D
 
I hope Ted sticks to his JGP commenting format of not saying anything during the skate, followed by a summary and then the replays with detailed comments.

I was watching JGP [ETA men of course] but unfortunately needed to multitask during some of it:(.

Ted is coming to ACI to *commentate*? Be still my heart :luv17:

Yep! It's an off week for JGP, so he can do ACI. YAY!
 
It looks to me like the sides are shaved closer again. Not sure why, since he already has a long narrow face.
 
Oh yeah, the sides do look more shaven. Ah Jason and his hair experiments.

Joseph Phan posted an IG story of him, Jason and another guy (I'm not sure who it is to be honest!) in the dance studio. He wrote that Jason killed it. Then Jason re-posted it on his IG story crossed off his name and put Joseph's.

It's so cool how Jason's been able to form fun new friendships at TCC.

However, I want to see full versions of these dance videos dang it.

I'd be surprised if he did change it tbh. IIRC I heard him commentating Junior Canadian Nats last year and all the groups but the last for Senior Nats and it was the same format: a few words around the time of the skater's introduction, silence during the program, and then comments after the bows.

Haleth, I’m glad you confirmed this. I haven’t clicked, but I thought I remembered Ted commentating on Elladj’s skate at Canadian Nats. I forget which one, after the skate, Ted said I have two ladies in tears on either side of me, and you could tell he was emotional as well.

One reason Elladj was one of my favs, like Jason, he knew the power of the performance. And he and Jason never just went through the motions.

And he made me sit through a strange cover of Sound of Silence (it was disturbing all right :laugh:) and not mind. Here’s hoping the same for Jason:hap85:
 
Last season 4 Continents was my favorite competition. I was surprised to see both Elladj and Jason there, and both had terrific SPs. The filming was superior at 4CC, showing the feet! The intro to Sound of Silence looked even better with ice skates. Love a guy with a ponytail.

Also, loved the photo of young Jason y Grant.

Maybe Champ Camp influenced the final look on Jason's haircut?

Hard to say; Jason definitely had his sides shaved at Champs Camp in 2017, because we saw it.

But at this point, I just want to hear Ted and see a program:biggrin:
 
Yes, I remember how the edges were trimmed. No detail too small.

Must admit the Challenger Series means a lot to me. One of the reasons Jason is my favorite skater is that he is such a tireless worker. I kind of like that I know so little of Jason's programs this year. Did not even listen to the music. No idea at all on the the costumes. That way it will all be a surprise!
 
It’s been almost eight months since Jason’s last competition. That seems like an eternity! It’s so crazy all the changes that have occurred since then!
