Wow, love the video. At last the cutting of the hair is shown. It really seems like Jason y Evgenia Medvedeva are focused on doing everything possible for the next winter Olympics. Hopefully the Toronto Cricket Club will be the key to their success!

It took several listens but I think Evgenia says, "Olympics" in answer to Jason's question.

Nice article! I was a little surprised that he was initially so against the S&G program. I'd like to know more about that. Anyway, this makes me excited for the Skating mag article that Nick M tweeted about, and also excited to see his programs in just a couple of days!!! I'm actually more interested in seeing his Two Feet short than the long. I think that's mostly because I know what he can do with Rohene's choreo and am not yet convinced about D Wilson.
 
Well, most of the dedicated fanbase has seen much of Jason's montage, but I did enjoy the interview.

And the hair.... under a cap:angry2:

And am I the only one annoyed by the constant background music? Like, really, I'm not bored, and I can listen to someone talk without it. But that's old school again, sigh....:sad46:
 
So as I posted in TCC thread, I was actually glad to hear that he had qualms about S&G bc I did too. Looking forward to seeing both programs. It seems like a million years since he's competed!

The fact that he’s been struggling makes it easier to understand his cave boy silence.

Despite the typical Jason enthusiasm, he strikes me as a bit different already - a little more mature? There seems to be just a touch less “I’m a sweet kid” and a bit more “I’m a regular guy” about him. If that makes sense. I will be very, very interested to see his demeanor in the knc!
 
It was great that he was honest with his experiences.
And because of that with his bright personality he is coping well.
Keep being positive Jason.
 
This is a great article. I really liked hearing Jason admit how hard it was, but also admit that hard is what he signed up for. I think we sometimes forget with his sunny personality that he is still a competitor with goals. It's nice to see both sides of his personality; the positive young man but also the serious athlete.
 
So the one thing noted here that stood out is that Jason considered taking this fall off and just "maybe" come back from nationals. It makes those super vague posts from like February/March make more sense. It sounds like he was grappling with what he wanted to do next.

In hindsight, not going to Worlds (and taking that break) proved to be the right decision.

Just two more days! :)

I was reading this wondering what background music? . I just realized there was a video. :laugh: I only read the interview. Wishing Jason the best on his competition days! We are having company so I won't be watching live. Darn.
 
Wow, the more I learn about this season, how devastating the Nats result was for Jason .... and that we might not have seen him compete this season:roll9:

But they are doing a good job of tampering expectations for this season .... and that is probably a good thing:)
 
Well thankfully, the angsty period has past (though I'm sure he thinks about it from time to time) and we get to see him skate. Here's hoping for a live stream and/or fancam videos of practices tomorrow!

He’s still in transition - fine. But please, no splatting at ACI!
 
Depending on what they do with those S&G tunes, still could be a lotta angst:laugh: But angst in a program is understandable.

Ban the thinking pose and the black heart emoji:angry1:

oooooh I really like his free! Loved the step sequence at the end, and his jumps looked stronger than what I expected. Clocked in at 4m10s though, they're reeeeeeally using every second allowed, aren't they?
