Jason Brown

Jason looked great out there, very relaxed. He didn’t miss anything in the run through or on the jumps he attempted outside the RT. The solo 3F which I have a nice view of from my seat is just  so I’m for him not being perfect on the 3z-3t and keeping it. But the combo looked good today.

It was fun to watch him interact with Brian and Lee.

Thanks @katmari - the combo does look great today! Fingers crossed everything goes well in comp.

@Mrs P - thanks so much for updates. I’m happy to hear that both Brian and Lee were with him in practice and that his jumps are looking good. Fingers crossed!

Ugh back to work now.

Its okay jason, continue to work on the imperfections you'll get there.
Cheering for you too on FS.

:sad21:

I tell myself it’s a building year, but I need to make myself believe it. I has a sad.

I dare not look in the competition forum.

:sad21:

Can I blame Ted Barton for jinxing today's skate? :sarcasm: Every time I watched the SP practice video yesterday (many, many times :)), when it got to the end where Ted says, he's always calm, never nervous, I wanted to scream SHHHHHH, don't say that!!!

I hope you're right about the FS, Karne. Maybe it will take some of the pressure off knowing there's no chance to medal.

It IS a building year, but I was thrown off by the SP looking so good. I never expected him to be looking that good at this point. Honestly, the way the LP is now is where I thought he would be for everything. I let my expectations get away from me. Those practices just looked SO good. He WILL get there and I'm sure he will get the jitters under control once he feels more comfortable.

Oh WHEW, I'm so glad. I was going to take total responsibility cause, I mean between the afternoon practice and today's warm-up, he didn't miss a single 3A or much of anything other than the 4S and then telling you all about it. So delighted that I can share the blame with Ted.

I'm skipping the FS warm-up tomorrow, namely cause brunch (and day drinking) but because perhaps if I don't see anything, he'll do better, LOL.

I still really enjoyed the SP --especially the 3F. I don't care how much he misses the 3Z-3T combo, judges LOVE that 3F. (and I do too.)

Also, I don't think a medal is completely out of the question. It would require some major dramatics, but it's the men.

I was worried about you as I was watching the men today. :ghug: Have a lovely brunch and day-drinking is a good plan for watching figure skating. :agree:

There's also that little detail that the men's FS warm-up is at 8:45 a.m. in the morning and Jason is first-up. (!!)

Thanks for the hug, lady! I'm sad and disappointed of course, but it's all part of being a fan. I just have to remember I've been through this first-year post-Olympic roughness with other faves before.

Jason has never let us down before, and he never will. I am sure that tomorrow will be a good day, and Jason will put together a good clean FS and move up in the standings. *nods firmly*

I like your positivity. Enjoy your morning!

Anyone else still up watching this silly ballgame? 14th inning and counting....
